I have a sad announcement. I might not be able to write tomorrow, I have a lot of homework I have to do! Sorry! I will write a lot today though!
Sorry if my chapters have been getting a little boring lately, but this one will be good, I PROMISE!
Tobias P.O.V.
The living-room is empty, and the house is silent. My heart drops... they were taken. All I can think is that Allaya is just a little baby. I stop in my tracks, my mind going blank. I can't think straight. I had her for 24 hours and now she's gone, the only part of Tris I had.
Matthew continues through the house, leaving me just outside of the elevator. I close my eyes and lean back against the wall, clenching my fists with anger. We missed them, they're gone.
I hear talking in the room next door, the kitchen, but it's two voices. Someone else is in the house. I stand up, recollecting myself. I walk into the kitchen and see Matthew and... Caleb.
The words are out of my mouth before I even think them completely, "Where's Allaya?"
"She's in your room, asleep. She got tired after you left. Why are you guys so worried?" Caleb says. I don't answer him, but instead head for my bedroom. I walk fast, eager to see Allaya, to know she's safe.
I push my bedroom door open, but don't see anything. The lights are off, I'm guessing so that Allaya can sleep. I reach my hand along the wall, find the light switch, and flip it up.
Allaya is on the bed, like Caleb said. She's cuddled up under a blanket. She was asleep, until I turned the lights on. Now she's holding her eyes closed, and swinging her arms around. I feel a twinge of guilt for turning the bright light on, just so I can see her. But I needed to know she was safe, I needed to see her.
I walk over to the bed and pick her up, under her armpits. Her head bobs around, unable to keep it still. Babies aren't that strong, and their heads are a third of their body. They can't hold the entire weight of their head up, they're not strong enough. I support Allaya's head with a free hand, my other one supporting the rest of her body.
I hold her against my body, her head by my shoulder. She's facing behind me, so I can't see her face. I missed holding her, I don't know why I ever thought I would be able to leave her alone. From now on, I'm taking her everywhere I go.
I walk back into the kitchen, where Matthew and Caleb are talking. Matthew is catching Caleb up on the video we saw. Caleb's eyes are wide with fear. He is scared about himself, his safety, not Allaya's. That's one of the reasons why I've never completely forgiven Caleb, he doesn't think about others. He and Tris are very different, Tris thinks of others before herself, Caleb doesn't.
"We need to find Tris." I say. Matthew and Caleb nod their head.
"We have a plan." Matthew says.
We walk into the living-room and sit down on the couch. Matthew begins to speak, "We believe that since they still wish to capture Allaya, we can catch them, study them. When they come to retrieve her, we will give them a fake baby and put a tracker in it. Obviously, the baby would have to look, feel, and be almost exactly like Allaya. I can make one at my lab. That way, when they take the baby, we can follow them with the trackers and find out where Tris is. We can then move from there."
The plan is perfect, not a single flaw. The only thing that makes me on edge is: What if they know the baby isn't real? Then they would find out our plan and we wouldn't be able to find Tris. I guess we will take the chance, it's the best shot we've got.
I nod my head and say, "That sounds good."

We agree to meet again tomorrow morning. Matthew will bring the cameras and the baby, Caleb will just come in case we need him, and I will have information on the cameras. After they leave, I will hack into the server with the live camera videos, to see if I can find anything else helpful. Caleb and Matthew leave, and I am alone in my apartment.
With Allaya in my arms, I walk back into my bedroom. I set her down on the bed, that way I can use both arms on the computer. I sit down at the chair in front of my desk, and turn my computer on. I pull up the camera page, and easily hack into the server. The dauntless, who watch the cameras, aren't very talented when it comes to security, that was the Erudite's specialty.
I go back to the same camera number that was on before, and scroll through it's history. It takes a couple of minutes, but I stop when I see movement. The same two people that were talking before, are on the screen.
"Tomorrow, at noon. You will have the baby to me by then, or you can consider yourself dead. Okay?" The short man asks. He's on his cellphone, so I don't know who's on the other end of the call. The short man removes his phone from his ear, and presses end call. He walks down the hall, out of view.
We don't have much time until they come, let's hope it's enough time to prepare.
The rest of the group is coming tomorrow as well, at noon.
Noon.
