I just saw that I have 236 reads, 30 votes, and 19 comments! I have a goal for the month of April. It is 300 reads, 50 votes, and 30 comments by the end of the month! If you could vote or comment, that would make my day!

It takes them fifteen minutes in order to drag me into the office. I've been here before, and it wasn't exactly the most pleasant visit. I sit in the office chair in front of the large desk. Sitting behind it is Jacob.

"What do you want?" I say. I don't like to come here, but it's better than being under the simulations.

"You've seriously injured two of my soldiers, resisted the others, broke out of your cell, broke into the lab, shall I continue?" Jacob says. I feel like I should feel guilty for injuring the soldiers, but I don't. That scares me.

"Please do." I say, trying to get on his nerves.

"My point being, you are not cooperating. Because of the problems you've caused us, we made the decision to move forward. If you no longer cooperate with us, your friends will be in more pain then they are now. And for Allaya, she won't have a pleasant life either." Jacob says. A couple things catch my attention. He said we. Who else is in charge? The other think is Allaya. She is just a little girl, my little girl, she doesn't deserve this.

"What do you want?" I say, casually, not trying to get him mad, he has all the control.

"If you work with us, than your friends stay in peace, as well as your daughter." Jacob says. Allaya is safe with Tobias, but my friends, they are vulnerable. But I can't work with them, if they find a simulation that even I can't resist, who knows what will happen.

"No." I say. I had to.

"What?" Jacob asks, annoyed. He thought I would agree, that I would cooperate, but I won't.

"I won't cooperate with you." I say.

"Okay, then I'll send my soldiers out within noon tomorrow." Jacob says. Send them out for what? The soldiers behind me pick me up, and take me out of the room. Just as the door shuts, Jacob says, "For Allaya." The door shuts between me and him, leaving me staring into blankness. All I can think is Allaya.

And I fall apart.

Tobias P.O.V.

Shuffling outside the apartment door catches my attention, and interrupts my discussion with Caleb and Matthew. They look at me for instructions, so I say them. "Matthew, you stay here, you know what to say. Caleb, come with me." I say. I hand the tracker to Matthew, turn away from him, and rush down the hallway, not bothering to see if Caleb is following.

I rush into the guest bedroom, and towards the window. I can see the fire escape from inside the room, so all I can do is hope the soldiers don't notice. I push open the window with one arm, holding Allaya securely with the other. It squeaks, but I keep pushing.

When it's open enough, I slip through onto the escape. Caleb follows me.

The plan is for the soldiers to find Matthew in the apartment. He is supposed to say that he came to retrieve an item that he forgot, and Allaya and I are not home. Then, somehow, attach the tracker to one of them, which will then lead us to where they are keeping Tris. There are a lot of things that could go wrong: Matthew might not be able to convince them I am not home, he might not be able to attach the tracker to one of the soldiers or an object, the soldiers might notice the tracker, it might fall off, they might find me, Caleb, and Allaya.

I tighten my grip around Allaya, frightened for what might happen next.

A loud bang comes from inside, and all I can to is hope.

Another chapter, yeah! I thought I wouldn't be able to write one tonight, but I did. I know this one is short, and not very exciting, but I promise, action will come. There is a lot of stuff planned.

Question Time!

1.) What do you think the loud bang was?

2.) Do you think Jacob's group of soldiers will be able to capture Allaya?

3.) What choice would you have made if you were Tris?

4.) How many more chapters should I make of this story?

Thank-you so much for supporting me!
