I spent the weekend at Melanie's parents summer house. They invited me over so they could meet me. We got there and she was a totally different person.
Normally, she'd throw her coat in the couch and watch some TV. But she didn't. She quietly walked to the kitchen to where her parents were and put her bag down on the floor. They looked at her, didn't even smile and told her she could go up to the room and leave her things there.
Lunch was even worst. They didn't trade a word between them. Her dad only asked me what I did for a living and what were my plans for the future.
We had to sleep in separate rooms and when next morning came, she was giving me the cold silent treatment. I don't know why. I decided I'd leave earlier.
Her parents didn't even discuss about it and she tried to prevent me from going. I asked her to give me a good reason to stay. She didn't say anything.
So I left. And I still don't know if I should call her or not.
