I don't know why. But today, I called you. I missed the sound of your voice. Hell, that sounds stupid as fuck. But it went on voicemail.
Your voice is still fresh in my mind.
Hey, you've reached Stephanie. I've been kind of busy painting for my next art exposure. Try to call me or just say something after the beep.
You sounded happier. Much happier.
The phone let out a small beep. I know I needed to hang up. I had to. But I couldn't and to be honest, I didn't want to.
So I spoke. I said a short hi and asked you how you were. I congratulated you on your next art exposure. And then I apologized for calling and hung up.
I shouldn't have called you. But I did. I couldn't contain myself.
At least I got to hear your voice. Even if it was through a recording.
