Falling apart

2 years later....

-Rin, Yuki, Itachi, Sai, and Kaoru are 12
-Kakashi is 17
-Naruto, Sasuke and Kiba are 8 and have started the academy
-Rin and Itachi are dating?
-Yuki and Kaoru are really close friends.
-uchiha massacre.

Rin POV

Me and Itachi were in that same spot he had taken me 2 years ago. It's kinda our special spot. We were on a low tree branch sitting and talking. He kissed me. I don't mind his kisses, actually, I love them. Haha. And we're only 12. It's kinda funny. But this time, the visit felt strange.

"Itachi, what's wrong?" I asked. He sighed and looked out at the waterfall.

"I have to, have to..." He took in a deep breath. "Kill my clan.." He said. Tears fell from his eyes.

"When?"

"Tonight." I looked at him.

"So, this is our last day together.."

"I guess so." I leaned on his shoulder. "After, I'm joining this group called the akatsuki. I know, they're the most hated group that Konoha has, but I promise to try and keep them away."

"I know. You wouldn't be doing this to just destroy the village right after." He made a soft smile.

"Thanks. I'm just worried about Sasuke. He is going to hate me. I know that much."

"You're keeping him alive?" I asked.

"Yea. I can't kill him. He's my little brother and I love him too much. He's going to fill up with so much hatred it will ruin his life. Can you please try and keep him under control? Keep him happy." I smiled.

"I'll try." He smiled.

"Thank you." He kissed me again. I kissed him back. "Now, it's almost time. He hopped off the branch. "I have to get ready." I jumped after him.

"Please, just promise to visit me, I.. I love you, Itachi." He stopped and turned to look at me.

"Rin, I promise. I'll be always watching the village from afar. I love you to." I ran up and gave him a hug, I was crying. "I'll be there to protect you when you need it." He stroked my hair. "I promise." And he left. Walking out of our place. I ran home, grabbed my Anbu gear and put it on, then ran to the compound. I sat on a tree branch and watched this horrifying event take place. The last ones he took care of were his parents. I heard footsteps and saw Sasuke running happily home. My heart ached for what he would find. After about 10 minutes of screaming it was silent and I saw Itachi walk out, mangekyo sharingan activated, and tears in his eyes. He looked over to where I was standing and I swear I almost saw him throw up and break down, until someone came and took him. Out of the village. He looked back once, and mouthed the words, "I love you, please take Sasuke to safety." I nodded and went into the house, seeing my mothers best friend lying in a pool of blood, tears threatened my eyes, but that wasn't the way of a ninja. I bit my tongue, I wasn't going to cry. The smell was enough to make one puke, but I refused. I went over to where Sasuke was lying, picked him up, and took him home.

Kushina POV

I heard the door open.

"I'm home." Rin said with a very flat tone. Something was wrong.

"Nee-chan!" Naruto was running over. I walked over to see her holding a young boy in her arms. I saw the uchiha symbol and gasped. It was Sasuke.

"Rin..." She didn't respond, instead she let her chakra flow to her hands and start healing him. Instead of green, her healing chakra is white. I always love watching her work. Sasuke's eyes opened and he sat up, looking around.

"Mama? Otou-sama?" He looked around. "Itachi-nii-san?" Tears started filling up in his eyes. Rin picked him up.

"Come on Sasuke. Come with me." She walked towards her room.

Rin POV

Tears started filling up my eyes as I carried Sasuke into my room and sat him on my bed.

"Nii-san. He killed them. He killed mommy and daddy!" He cried. Tears fell down my cheeks.

"Oh Sasuke!" I hugged him. "You know he wouldn't do something like that without a purpose."

"But, he said he was testing the limits to his power..." I sucked in a breath. "And he said I wasn't worth killing." Oh Itachi. Why did this happen? I heard a knock on my door. "Auntie Kushina.." He said. She looked at him.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Itachi.. Killed his clan.." I said. A hand flew up to her mouth.

"Dear god.." Tears filled up her eyes. "Let's go to the hokage." I nodded. We got up and left.

"I know." The hokage said. "So he's left you alive?" He said gesturing to Sasuke.

"He said I wasn't worth killing..." The hokage nodded. "I swear... I will get revenge for my clan.." He said quietly, but loud enough for me to hear.

"Ok. Well, we'll set up a place for you to live, and you'll continue to go to the academy. Is that alright Sasuke?" He nodded. "Alright. You may leave. Oh, Rin?" I turned. "I need to talk to you." Mom and Sasuke left leaving me with the hokage. "I assume you're aware of what actually happened."

"Yes." He nodded.

"But I need you to keep quiet. That was the deal. He already bent the conditions by telling you and not killing his entire clan."

"You have my word as an Anbu."

Sasuke POV

Auntie Kushina left after making sure I was alright. She made my new apartment look more like home and it felt safe. She also made me some dinner, which smelled so good, my appetite came back and I ate it. I laid down on my bed. The Uchiha symbol was painted on one of the walls in every room. Memories, seeing him kill my entire family, were flooding through my mind. I cried and hugged my knees to my chest. After about 10 minutes I noticed a presence. It was a black wolf with silver eyes. I opened my window and it jumped in and pressed up against me, laying down on my bed. I don't know, but something about this wolf feels safe. I rested my head on her, falling asleep to what Rin had said to me ringing in my head. He wouldn't do something like that without a purpose.
