Silas
Mav was asleep on the couch with his head in my lap. I was running my fingers through his hair. Grayson was in the kitchen with Corbin.
Mav was free for the rest of the day. He had wanted to do something but I could tell he tired, so I forced him to sleep. He moved, causing his head to lay on my stomach. He wrapped his arms around my torso. I didn't want to be anywhere else.

I woke up breathing heavily. Mav looked up at me sleepily. He woke up immediately at my distressed face. I was shaking as he sat up and pulled my small form against his chest, my head tucked effectively under his chin. Corbin and Grayson walked in. Corbin's eyes flashed crimson. My hair stood on end. I covered my ears with my hands and clenched my eyes shut.
Mav gently blew on my ear. I peeked up at him and he gave me a small smile. I kissed his cheek and he picked me up bridal style. Next thing I knew, we were in his bed and I was sitting on his lap while he played with my hair.
Mav never asked why I was freaking out, he just went with it. For that, I was grateful. I gazed at him and his blue eyes met mine. Love. That's what was reflected behind his blue orbs. So much so that I felt I would drown in it. He gave me a smile, his soft lips rising in the corners ever so carefully. I leaned into his hand, which was against my cheek. My eyes closed as his lips met mine. A soft kiss, short and sweet. Almost as if never there.
I opened my eyes and Mav pulled me closer to him, his arms wrapping protectively around me. His scent washed over me, and I sighed in content. This was it. This was where I belonged. In his arms. Within his gentle embrace. We stared into each other's eyes. Man, I love this guy...
