Maverick
My brain froze, I couldn't think of anything. I saw Grayson move and speak but I didn't hear anything. A hand on my shoulder, I found myself back inside the house. Arms wrapped around me and I snapped out of it. I looked down and my little mate's arms were wrapped around me. His face was scrunched up in worry, I frowned and placed my hand on his head. He closed his eyes and leaned into my touch.
Grayson sat down across from me," I know this is a shock but the pact between your parents and them is no longer valid. Do you wish to keep it?" I looked at my little mate, his cold skin pressed against my hot flesh. He nodded, I looked back up at Grayson. He sighed," There's my answer huh?"
The sound of cheers sounded from the woods. Silas and I had retreated to my bedroom. I was laying on my back, Silas was laying with his head on my chest and his arm draped across my stomach. I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Silas
I listened to Mav's heartbeat and breathing. He breathed long and slow and steady, he was warm. My chilled skin soaked up his warmth as I lay half on him. Eventually, his breathing became even slower, I looked up to see his eyes were closed. He was asleep. My eyes went over every inch of his face, his long lashes covered his cheeks, his pink lips were slightly parted. The ring in his lip made him look cute. He looked innocent as a babe, as if his eyes had never seen the evils of this world.
I moved my head back and looked around his room. It was clean, clear, tidy, and felt like no one has seen its wonders. The walls were covered in sketches and paintings. Everything felt like him, like his very soul was etched into the fibers. I smiled and the day caught up to me.

I awoke at dawn, the feeling of someone on me caused me to look down. A small smile came upon my face, my little mate was sleeping soundly on my chest. His hand was gripping my shirt lightly. I gently undid his fingers and slid off the bed. With a silent yawn, I disappeared into the bathroom.

Silas
I woke from lack of warmth. I panicked slightly when I saw Mav was gone but calmed down when I heard the shower. As I burrowed under the covers deeper, the shower cut off. Mav walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was pale but he was lean and had a faint six pack. A blush spread across my cheeks and I covered my face.
The sound of drawers opening and closing signaled it was safe to look. I uncovered my face and jumped when I saw Mav hovering above me. He chuckled silently and I smacked his chest. He stood back up and pulled on his shirt. Silvery lines covered his wrist and I watched his face as he turned. "Mav what's on your wrists?" He paled.

Maverick
Shit. I could feel the blood drain from my face and my heartbeat began to beat faster. He stood and walked over to my frozen form. "Do you still do it?" I shook my head. He handed me a pad of paper and a pen. "How long since?" Years, I was fourteen. He nodded and stood on his tippy toes as he kissed my cheek. "Okay," he smiled up at me. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, that went better than expected.

Silas
Once he started breathing again, I knew everything was okay. So I took the opportunity to check out what he was wearing. He had on black skinny jeans, socks, a black long sleeved shirt, and his key around his neck. He leaned down and kissed my forehead, I closed my eyes. He pushed me towards the bathroom and pulled out some of his clothes. I nodded and jumped into the shower.
After pulling on the clothes Mav left on the counter for me, I walked out and he looked up from his book. His eyes widened and seemed to darken. I looked down at what he gave me, red sweats, socks, and a black hoodie that smelled like him. He slid a black beanie on my head and I looked up to see him nodding. I giggled and he smiled. "I'm hungry. Carry me downstairs. I want a piggyback ride." He rolled his eyes and crouched down for me.
He locked his room behind us and he held me up on his back. I wrapped my hands around his neck as we walked downstairs. Several wolves stopped and stared as we passed. I decided to mess with him and blew on his ear. He shivered and looked back at me with a playful glare. I giggled and stuck my tongue out. A look passed his face, he pretended to drop me and I squealed. He smirked and I pouted.

He sat me on the counter and started to cook breakfast. My stomach growled as I watched him. He had turned on some music, a band I didn't know filled the kitchen. Eventually, a plate of strawberry waffles appeared next to me. I looked up at Mav, even on the counter I was shorter than him. He had a dollop of whip cream on his cheek, I licked it off and he looked at me like I had grown two heads. "You had whip cream on your face."
There were four plates on the counter. "Why are there four?" He held up his finger and a thud met my ears. I looked at him questioningly when a scary looking Grayson walked into the kitchen. I jumped into Mav's arms, I felt his chest shake. Grayson wordlessly grabbed a plate and disappeared back upstairs. Mav put me down. "Scary."

After awhile Corbin came down and did the same thing as Grayson. We finished eating and Mav grabbed my hand. He pulled me into a room filled with all sorts of games. My eyes widened when I saw the Xbox, I squealed and ran over to it. We played for hours. Needless to say, I found where I wanted to stay.
