Corbin Eli James

Silas
I watched him as he growled back at his pack members for me, my heart swelled with happiness. He walked outside, something told me to follow. So that's what I did. His clothes were hidden behind a tree and his heavy footfalls were almost silent, surprisingly. I followed him until he came to a meadow. He sunk to his belly and laid his head on the ground. A deer stepped on a twig somewhere behind me and his head snapped up. He started to growl but stopped when he saw me. He stood and took a step forward. I slowly walked towards him, he was taller than most wolves. He had more muscle and looked stronger than most other wolves as well.
He watched me as I made my way over to him slowly, his ears perked up as I stopped in front of him. I reached my hand out and hesitated right before I touched him, he pushed his nose against my hand. I grinned and stepped closer, running my hand down his body. He leaned into my touch. "I guess we're mates huh," I said softly. He nodded and licked my cheek. I made a face his shoulders shook as if he was laughing. He darted away and stomped the ground with his big paw as if saying to stay. "I'll be here," I sat down on the ground and he quickly trotted away.

Maverick
I shifted back and pulled on my clothes, I was pushing up my tie when I walked back into the clearing. My little mate was right where he said he would be, he looked up at me when I sat next to him. He pouted," You're too tall." I chuckled silently and he looked at me questioningly. Looking for a small stick, I cleared a little patch of grass. I'm mute. His silver eyes read it and looked back up at me, "I don't mind. I'm Silas by the way." Maverick. His eyes lit up in delight," I love your name." I gave him a small smile. "Why are you so much bigger than other wolves I've seen?" I hesitated a little and looked at him, I'm an Alpha. His eyes widened," You're the big boss huh?" I nodded. "And you're mute?" I nodded again. "The other Alphas look down on you don't they? Because you're younger than they are and dress, act, and think differently." I looked at my little mate startled. I nodded slowly. "That's okay. How old are you anyway?" 19. "I'm 17. I was born a vampire," he looked down bitterly at that and I grabbed his chin. His pale orbs met mine and I kissed his forehead. It's okay. We have each other now. He smiled at that and launched himself into my arms. "Yeah," he said nuzzling against my chest. I wrapped my arms around him and rested my chin on his head.
His scent was addicting, and I didn't want to leave but the bell for lunch rang so I stood and pulled him up. He came to my shoulder. I held his hand as we walked back to the building. Grayson was waiting for me and he had a grin on his face when he saw our interlocked hands. I pushed him and he chuckled. We all headed to class.
Grayson headed inside. I was about to follow when Silas stopped in his tracks. I looked at his questioningly. "I'm worried about what my brother will think," he said seeing the look on my face. I nodded and pecked his cheek. He gave me a shaky smile and I pulled him in the room. Whispers started the minute their eyes landed on our hands. I sat in my normal seat and pulled Silas into the one next to me. Grayson smiled and looked up. He froze, his gaze entranced by something behind me. I look over and it's Silas' brother. I smiled, a real smile. A sad smile but a smile none the less.
