Maverick
It's been several weeks since the rogues joined. Their trial period was almost over. After a few hiccups, they were slowly growing used to life in the pack. The children were officially attending the schools that were in my area. The adults had all taken on their responsibilities and jobs with the highest degree of care.
Silas and his brother were coming around far more often than before. Several pack members had been wary at first but slowly warmed up to the two vampires, they were part of the family.
Grayson and Corbin had been getting closer, several times I had stumbled upon the two almost lip locking. Each time they would jump back with a deep blush on their faces.

I sank into my couch, pulling my tie loose from around my neck and leaned back, resting my head on the back of the couch. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. A silent sigh escaped my lips as I relaxed my tired muscles. I looked down at the sudden weight on the couch next to me. Silas peered at me with worried eyes. I laid my head in his lap. Almost immediately his fingers burried themselves in my hair, running through them. I relaxed more into his touch.

Silas
I ran my fingers through his hair, his eyes shut and his breathing evened out. His defenses were completely down, I smiled down at him. He was deeply asleep, his exhaustion finally catching up with him. I knew he hadn't been sleeping well. That his past was flickering around in his mind in the late night hours.
He stirred, I continued running my fingers through his hair. He turned, burying his face in my stomach while wrapping his arms around my torso. He settled and took a deep breath before he stopped moving. His creased brow straightened out and relief seemed to flood his system. Oh, how I wished to know. I know he'd tell me with time. So I will wait. Forever if I have to.

Grayson and Corbin passed through after awhile. They stopped when they spotted Mav on my lap. Grayson gave me a small smile before they disappeared in the kitchen. I grew sleepy and felt my eyes started to shut. I yawned and before I know it, I was out.
