After a couple of weeks training and grooming the dogs, Shane brings them to the orphanage. The second he arrives, the entrance floods with familiar faces of curious children wanting to pet the dogs.

Shane, feeling confident that the dogs will do fine, lets them loose. He sits down to watch them playing together, proud that he can do something like this for these lonely children.

Luke takes a seat next to him. "They all look so happy." Luke smiles at Shane.

"They don't interact with humans enough." Shane replies.

"I meant the kids but the dogs look happy too." Luke chuckles.

Shane nods with a smile. "I'm so glad this worked." Shane admits. "They're holding me completely responsible for what happens here but I think things will be fine."

"You're doing great, you made this happen." Luke reassures.

Both of them just watch the kids and the dogs having fun. Shane becomes mildly aware of a large group of kids surrounding a young Shepard dog. He keeps his eyes on the situation as a young boy stands in front of it, stroking its ears. Shane's eyes wander to look at the other children surrounding it, noticing one reaching for the dog's backside with two fingers.

Before Shane can piece together what's going on, the dog gets pinched, causing the boy to scream as he gets bitten on the face.

Shane immediately rushes over to get the dog away from the children, glaring at the boy who pinched it.

"Jessie, over here, come on girl, let's calm down over here." He tells the dog, pulling her to the orphanage gate by the collar to sit her down in front of it.

Luke goes into the orphanage to call an ambulance while Jack gets all of the kids inside and away from the dogs.

The dog calms down and starts whining and leaning against Shane.

Shane strokes it on the top of the head for a moment, feeling threatened by tears when he works out what this incident is going to mean for Jessie. He clips on a leash to tie Jessie to the bars on the gate, going into the orphanage to confront the people responsible.

"What the hell were you thinking? Why the hell would you do something like that to an animal?" He snaps.

The kid looks really scared and looks at Luke for support. This makes Shane even more furious.

"They're going to put her down because of you! Does that make you happy?" He screams at the kid.

Luke stops Shane by resting a hand on his shoulder. "Shane, let's talk this through outside, away from the kids." He suggests.

"But he pinched Jessie, that idiot! She'd never bite anyone if he didn't hurt her like that!" Shane continues.

Luke turns Shane around and guides him back to Jessie's side while all the kids are sent to their rooms. Shane instantly bursts into tears at the thought of Jessie being put down because of a stupid kid. Luke rubs Shane's back soothingly, feeling worse for him when Jessie whines again, licking her nose and shuffling a little in frustration.

"They're gonna kill her!" Shane sobs. "Look at her, she's not violent, Luke please don't let them kill her!" He begs.

"I'm sorry to say that there's nothing I can do. I really wish there was something but she's bitten a child, that apparently makes her a danger to society." Luke points out, sounding a little hurt by this as well.

Shane shakes his head, whimpering out sobs for her and trying to make excuses.

"What the hell happened?" Jack demands when he catches up with them.
