John POV:
I thought I was just being crazy, but now Jewel is thinking the same thing.
I hope it's possible, I hope it's true.
Hope is the only thing keeping me going.

After a while paisley and Ben came back out.
" so any luck" I asked.
" yep, we got h63 and....." Palsy started.
I didn't really paid attention to the rest of what she said, because half of what she's talking about I don't even know what it is.
" so we ready to head back" Ben asked.
" yeah, oh also here" I said handing Lexi's leash back to him.
" thanks" he said, " Jewel you ready?"
Jewel was staring at the mark on the wall.
" Jewel" I called.
She still didn't look back.
I walked behind her shaking her shoulder.
" hello" I said.
She jumped a bit, she was really zoning out.
" sorry John.... If it's ok with you guys I'm going to walk around for a bit" she said walking off.
" oh ok what time will you be..." Before I could finish she turned a corner and was gone.
" what's up with her" paisley asked.
" I'm not sure, let's just give her time to herself it's been a long week for her" I said.
They both nodded as we headed back.

After we got back we found that our bass was still intact.
The sun was a few hours for setting but I still felt really tired.
" hey I think I'm going to quickly nap" I said.
" yah tired" paisley said giving a smile.
" yep" I replied back.
I laid down next to the fire, my sleeping bag wasn't the most comfortable thing but it will do.
My eyes fluttered shut, before a loud sound stuttered me up.
" John hurry" I heard someone yell but I couldn't place who.
I quickly got up and raced outside, grabbing a gun and a large cutting knife on the way out.
I looked outside seeing a huge mob of walkers at our border fences.
The walkers surrounded each side of the building, no way out.
" where did they come from?" I asked running over to Jewel.
She was trying to keep the gate closed, I help her pushing the gate along with her.
The walkers were pushing and trying to get inside.
Ben and paisley were shooting at the walkers, but it didn't seem to help.
" John I need you to help m.me... W...." Jewel started.
My eyes began to blur and my head was getting heavy.
No not now, please.
" John... JOHN" Jewel yelled.
My eyes went black and I fell to the ground.

I woke up, memories of what happened swarmed into my head.
I stumbled trying to get to my feet.
I looked around seeing that all the walkers were gone, however the fences were destroyed.
" Jewel, Ben, paisley" I called out.
Suddenly I saw the remains of paisley and Ben, only their clothes were left and the area around them was blooding.
" oh...OH GOD NO" I yelled tears started running down my face.
" j...John" I voice whispered.
I looked down seeing Jewel lying there, her neck had a large bite taken out of it.
" j..Jewel no no please no" I said kneeing down next to her.
" your going to be fine, I...I just gonna get the stuff paisley has.... You'll be fine" I stuttered.
" no... No John you have to shoot me" Jewel said.
My eyes went wide, I can't.
" Jewel, no... Never I..I can't" I said.
Her eyes stared back up at me, her eyes looked desperate.
" please John, I'm in pain and when i turn I don't wanna hurt you. SHOOT ME NOW!!!" She yelled.
Before I could even grabbed my gun, she took a pistol out from behind her.
" shoot me...please" she said handing me the gun.
" I...I'm sorry I wish I could've prevented it" I stuttered.
I'm alone now.
" goodbye Jewel" I said.
" bye John" she said closing her eyes.
I pointed the gun towards her head.
I was about to pull the trigger before I heard a hiss.
Jewel jumped up at me, her eyes grey and lifeless, blood running from her mouth.
I shot.
"Bang"
Blood splattered across my face and the ground as jewel felt to the ground.
I fell to my knees, tears running down my face.
I'm alone, I'm alone.
You killed her, you could've done something. WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP!
Voices raced into my head, the voices of my friends.
They yelled at me asking me "why didn't you help us".
" I'm sorry, IM SORRY" I yelled.
You killed me, I'm dead because... "OF YOU".
I looked up seeing Jewel standing there, she no longer had the grey eyes or blood on her.
Only the bullet hole in her head.
" you did this, you could've helped, WHY DIDN'T YOU DO SOMETHING!" She yelled.

" John, john get up" a voice called.
I slowly got up and looked around.
Everyone was around me.
" you're ... You're all alive!" I asked.
" whatcha mean, of course we are now  come eat" Jewel said.
It was a dream? Thank god it was a dream!
But why, why that?
