I rushed towards the FinalBringer General with unearthly speed. In the split second before I attacked, I gathered all of my spiritual energy and poured it through the blade of my katana.

"Die," I screamed before my katana dug into his skull," You damned bastard!"

The General attempted to block the attack, but he was unsuccessful. My katana pierced the top of his war helmet, and I ripped it from his head in a swift motion. His blonde hair ruffled in the wind, and my heart dropped.

"Hikari?" he bellowed," What are you doing out here?"

"I could ask you the same thing," I snarled at the General. The man that stood in front of me was none other than my father. Great, what is this? A war between my whole family? For God's sake!

I stood in front of my fallen mother, holding my katana defensively. My guard was perfect, and I was sure to leave no openings in my stance. My father, the General, sneered and hefted his sword.

"Hikari! Get out of here," my mother coughed a mouthful of blood onto the pavement," Please..."

Instead of replying, I only lifted my sword in response to my father. If he attacks, I will cut him. Blood does not matter as of right now, this is not a personal battle. My hands didn't tremble. My stance never faltered. Adrenaline rushed inside of me. I am ready.

"I guess if you must be stubborn, Hikari," my father said maniacally," I will have to cut you down, too! You were always a clever girl, but you clearly don't know when to back down!" I snorted in disgust. My father is a snake.

My father swung his sword down, but I raised my katana to block it. I will dodge. He gasped in surprise when I blocked the blow and struck back. I will cut. My katana sliced the side of his face, and blood spurted from the gash. I rose my katana to deliver the final blow. I will win. But he is my father...

That small hesitation, I realized, was going to be the turning point of the battle. My father sliced my left arm, and the impact shattered the bone. Dammit!

"Time to finish up, Hikari," my father laughed madly.

"This is your only chance," the black haired woman, my inner power, screamed," Forget your fear! Shout my name, and claim your victory!" I loosened my body, and my fear was replaced with iron will. The name of the woman rang through my mind loud and clear, and power rushed into my weary body once more. This time, I will not fail!

As I charged my father, time seemed to slow. A grin broke out on my face at my foreseen victory, and I readied my sword. I knew exactly where to hit him. I knew the name of my power. I knew that I was going to win.

"Ue no sāji, Kokkai!" I shouted as I struck him in the chest, running him through with my katana. He let out a strangled cry, and I slid my sword out of his body. My father collapsed to the ground in a bloody heap.

"He will not die, Hikari," Kokkai whispered in my ear," I made sure that he would not die from this attack. But... he will never be able to regain his powers as a FinalBringer."

"Thank you," I replied with a smile as the energy drained from my body. I lost consciousness and crumpled to the ground as well.

When I woke, I saw my mother sitting beside Ichigo's bed which is where I was lying. She smiled when I looked over at her, and I found myself smiling, too. I could feel that my wounds were gone because there was no more pain in my leg, and my arm functioned properly. Most likely the work of Rukia.

I saw someone lying on a spare cushion at the foot of the bed, and I immediately recognized my father. His blonde hair was spread out around his head, and I could hear the soft sound of his breathing. Somewhere inside of me, I was glad that he was alive.

"Can you tell me about father now?" I asked softly. My mother smiled warmly, and I saw that she wasn't wearing her icy armor. All she wore was a plain white shirt and a pair of blue shorts.

"Well," she began," Before you were born, I had been chosen to join the elite humans to help out against the Fullbringers in the last war which raged for many years, just not in this specific town. I met your father who, at the time, was one of the Fullbringers. We fell in love, even though it was forbidden. Then six years ago, I was called back to the battlefield, and your father helped to stage my death. Something inside of him changed when I never returned to him, and he convinced himself that I was turning against him, so he went crazy. Then he became a General of the FinalBringer's army, and set out to kill me."

"I had never known," I said in disbelief," If I had put myself in his shoes, I might've done the same thing."

"I have to go and give a report to my Commander," my mother said as she stood up," I will be back in a few days and help to train you." I smiled as she suited up in her army and jumped out of the window. That's my mother right there. I had thought it would be hard to forgive her, but it came easier than I thought. Maybe, the wounds on my heart were beginning to heal.

I heard soft footsteps, and Hichigo entered through Ichigo's bedroom door, shutting it behind him. He wore his usual grin and a pair of shorts, and his golden eyes bore into me, taking in everything that he saw. Then, I found myself doing the same to him, mostly because he was shirtless.

"How are you doing?" Hichigo asked, taking a seat beside me on the bed.

"I'm healed up nicely," I replied and leaned against his shoulder. His scent was sweet, and I took in deep breaths of his bare skin. Hesitantly, I reached out and ran my fingers along the muscles of his bare stomach. When I looked up, I was surprised to see him blushing like a strawberry. "And... you're here to make me feel better."

"Not true," Hichigo whispered into my hair. He slipped his hands under my arms and lifted me, pulling me into his lap. His hands slid down to my hands, and he guided them to his waist, so I gripped him tightly.

Hichigo slipped his arm around me and pulled me closer so that I pressed against his bare upper body. He kissed me on the cheek, and his lips trailed downward until they reached my neck. I sighed when he kissed my neck, and I could feel him smiling against my skin.

"I'm not here to make you feel better," Hichigo whispered before he kissed my neck once more," I'm here to make you feel good."

Before he could kiss me again, Ichigo and Rukia busted through the bedroom door. When they saw us, they snickered and whispered amongst one another.

"Hey, break it up you two!" Rukia said playfully. Ichigo wrapped his arms around her small body and pecked her on the lips sweetly. That couple, Ichigo and Rukia, must've been friends for a while before they became intimate. I can see their bonds just by watching them tease each other. If that isn't goals, I don't know what is.

"I think we could learn a little bit from these kids," Ichigo said as he lifted Rukia into the air. Rukia wrapped her legs around his waist and twisted her fingers into Ichigo's hair. She laughed and turned around, winking at us.

"Actually, I think that they could learn a little from us," Rukia said in a low voice. She pulled Ichigo's lips to hers in a sloppy kiss, and she continued to kiss him. Ichigo placed his palm at the small of her back, and she leaned into him. "Is that all you've got?"

"Is that a challenge, midget?" Ichigo asked, and he seemed very amused. His eyebrows quivered, and he pulled her into, yet again, another sloppy kiss. I found their relationship cute, considering that they were so much alike. They were both veterans, don't like to lose, and are very compassionate and passionate.

I heard Hichigo gasp, but I didn't look back. It must sound kinda awkward for me to say this, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Ichigo and Rukia. Even Hichigo was staring. My vision went dark when Hichigo covered my eyes with his hands.

"Don't look at them," Hichigo said, and he sounded far off," They are freaks." Despite it being dark now, I could still hear the sound effects of them kissing.

"I can still hear them, though..."
