"Do not fight your instinct, imbecile!" the CyberDragon snarled and lunged for me, claws outstretched. I tuned to run, and I saw a pale hand reaching for me. It was Hichigo's hand. "Instinct is the greatest force, and it makes the world go round! Do not turn away from me, woman!"

"Well," I said, glaring at the CyberDragon as I took Hichigo's hand in mine," I guess I will have to keep the world from spinning."

My vision began to fade, along with the thundering of the CyberDragon's outburst and the booming sound of his voice. Everything faded, and I was engulfed in a warm darkness. I could feel hands pressing against my sides and lips against mine.

"Hikari," Hichigo whispered against my lips as I opened my eyes," Are you okay?"

I nodded softly and kissed him back slowly and pulling him into a warm hug. My body trembled in fear, and my heartbeat pounded in my ears painfully. I need to calm down. He is gone, and I won't have to deal with him. For now, at least.

"I-I'm okay," I trembled," But... that man that I saw in my dream..." I trailed off and my body shuddered.

"What is it?" Hichigo asked, concern in his golden eyes. I didn't want to remember the CyberDragon, but it is very important information that we need to win this war. My lip trembled, but I bit it to keep it still.

"The leader of the FinalBringers... the Thundering General, the CyberDragon. He's too strong. How could we have ever hoped to beat him," I muttered blindly, stumbling on my words like an idiot.

"What was he like?" Hichigo asked, but he could see the fear in my eyes. "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. Forget it." Hichigo ran his fingers through my hair gently, and he pulled me closer. I buried my face into his shoulder, fighting to hold back my tears of frustration.

Fatigue began to tug me closer and closer to unconscious, and I twisted my fingers into Hichigo's kimono. I found his warmth comforting, and I closed my eyes, letting my dreams take me over.

-----

I screamed as the CyberDragon's sword plunged deep into my chest. His booming laughter echoed in my ears, and I covered them to block out the noise. The laughter did not stop, and neither did the pain of the sword. I screamed in agony as he twisted the sword that was imbedded in my flesh. His laughter echoed louder by the second.

I gasped and sat up when I woke from the terrible dream. My heart pounded, and I groped for my chest only to find it free of wounds. What an awful dream. That CyberDragon guy was really trying to win me over for his cause, but to no prevail. I have to be strong and resist him.

When I shifted on the bed, my back pressed against a warm body. I checked over my shoulder, and I saw Hichigo. His hair was a spiky mess, and his mouth was opened slightly as he breathed. I turned over so I was facing him, and I watched him. He is so damn cute when he is asleep.

"Hichigo," I whispered as I stroked his jaw with my fingers. His skin was soft, and feverishly warm compared to mine. He didn't wake up, so I continued.

My fingers trailed down to his mouth, and my fingertips brushed against his lips. I yelped in surprise when Hichigo bit my finger. His golden eyes flashed playfully in the dark room.

"I can see that you are awake, you little devil," I growled and ripped my hand away from him.

"I am devilish, aren't I?" he whispered," I can give you one hell of a time, though." He winked at me and flashed me a soft smile.

"Shut up," I blushed and averted my eyes in embarrassment. He wasn't wrong, but he didn't have to come right out and say it. Always count on Hichigo to be straightforward. Hichigo leaned in and pecked me on the lips once before drawing away.

"Bad dream?" he asked, his tone suddenly serious. I bit my lip nervously and nodded my head.

"It's okay. I am strong, and I won't be swayed by that bastard," I said courageously," Now don't go around underestimating me, idiot." I rolled my eyes and laughed softly.

"I was just wondering," Hichigo stuck out his bottom lip and pouted," Don't have to be so damn cruel all the time." He crossed his arms and glared at me for a few moments before it became unsettling. "And she is still unwavering..."

"Can you shut up and cuddle me already," I said in an exasperated tone. Hichigo grinned from ear to ear with his evil smile and wrapped his arms around me. He planted a warm kiss right under my jaw, and I sighed. Doesn't he ever settle down?

"Gladly," Hichigo said slowly. He kissed me on the lips firmly, and I twisted my fingers into his white hair. I groaned and kissed him back even harder, tugging at his hair. "Stop that... trying to keep my... self control," Hichigo mumbled between kisses. I don't really want to stop, so he better get control quick.

"I'd rather not," I said quietly before I pulled him into another kiss. Hichigo moaned and gripped my waist tightly, his fingers slipping under the hem of my t-shirt.

"I would rather you do," a muffled voice called out," I'm trying to sleep and you two are in there moaning and groaning. Can we stop?" Hichigo and I turned to the closet as soon as the door slid open to reveal, a very flustered, Ichigo.

"Sorry," I muttered an apology, my face burning. Ichigo smiled at me warmly, but when he turned to Hichigo, he glared coldly.

"It's your fault," Ichigo's eyes narrowed as he slid the closet door slowly, stealing one last glare at Hichigo. I laughed and pushed Hichigo off of me.

"Why is it always my fault," Hichigo mumbled grumpily.
