It had been a week since the FinalBringer attack, but I had gotten no rest since then. Once my mother had returned halfway through the week (she had to give a report), she decided that I needed a little training. A little as in a lot.

Training from dusk until dawn, sleeping, then doing the same the next morning. But, I shouldn't complain. Thanks to her dedication, I have learned to master Kokkai (my inner power). Now that I have mastered my abilities, I can slack off training for a while.

That wouldn't be advised, Hikari. And you haven't mastered me, for you have barely scratched the tip of the iceberg. Do not underestimate your power within, you couch potato.

There she is. I was hoping she would show up, so I basically lured her. Did she seriously call me a couch potato?

I dare you to say that again!

Couch potato. Coach potato! Couch potato!

If I could, I would be strangling you right now! For your information, I am not a couch potato. And I'm not quitting practice, stupid.

   ...

She must have gone back to sleep, or whatever she does when she quiets down inside of my sword, or body. I don't really know, and I would rather not know. I have to admit that she can be snappy, but at other times, she is very protective and wary.

I snapped to attention when my father began to toss and turn on the floor beside my bed. His blue eyes were stunning in the morning light, and he sat up slowly. Surprisingly, there was no anger left in me that was directed towards him, but I guess we are even now.

"Good morning," I said in a cold tone, and my father flinched. He stared at me apologetically, and his eyes widened in fear when I scowled at him. A cold feeling began to seep through my bones, and I shivered.

"Hikari," my father said, scratching at his blonde stubble," You feel it don't you. The cold..." I was appalled that he knew what I was feeling, and I guess it has something to do with the FinalBringers. In a swift motion, I leaned over and snatched him up by the collar of his shirt.

"What the hell did you do to me?" I snarled at him, but he held his hands up in surrender. His eyes showed nothing but fear, and I knew that he wasn't sure himself.

"I-I didn't do anything! It-It was the General's influence!" he stuttered," I was granted my powers by the greatest of the Generals, and when I am killed, the power is passed on."

"So... I have your powers?" I asked, my head spinning. My stomach lurched and I released my grip on my father's shirt. A cold feeling began to wrap around me, trapping me in it's grip.

"Yes," my father sighed," The power will devour your soul, Hikari. You must fight! Push back the dark! I believe in you, Hikari!" My father seemed like a completely different man now, and I realized that the General's power must have been making him do those things all of these years. Suddenly, all became clear.

"You were fighting the power all of that time because of Hoshi..." I cringed as pain shot through my body," And once she left... You were in your most unguarded state, and so the power took over you. I'm sorry for hating you all of those years, father. Please... Forgive me."

My vision began to fade, and everything went black and silent as I slipped into unconsciousness.

-----

When I woke, I was surrounded by darkness so thick and heavy that I could hardly breath. I seemed to be floating in the void, but I could feel solid ground under my feet. In the distance, there was a clanking noise, like metal against stone, and it continued to get louder. The noise became so loud that it rattled my teeth.

   What is this terrible noise?

"Hello, young one," a cold, metallic voice boomed. The voice came from in front of me, but I saw nobody. The footsteps stopped right in front of me, and I could see a hazy outline.

"Are you hiding or something?" I spat at the entity. The entity laughed deeply, and it vibrated my bones painfully.

"Silly girl. You are hiding behind the fear that you have. Forget your fear! Open your eyes and see the world as I see it" the voice thundered. My fear drained from me as though it was being taken by an unseen force, and I felt as though I should cling to a small piece of it before it was gone. Before I could, my fear was ripped from my body. I dint expect it to hurt, but it was extremely painful.

"What are you doing?" I screamed in pain. The voice rolled once more in a sinister laugh.

"That is the pain of being a warrior, fool," the voice growled," Look upon me and tremble in fear before your new master! For I the Thundering General, the CyberDragon FinalBringer!"

When I saw the Thundering General, I gasped in surprise. He had to be at least twenty feet tall, and his armor was so intricate and colorful that I found it hard to look at. Metal wings sprouted from his back, claws protruded from his hands, and a carried a sword and shield.Lightning danced along his metal body from his horned head to the end of his spiked tail.

"Join me! Be my light!" the CyberDragon shouted madly. I heard a voice at the back of me head, and it grew louder until I could hear it over the roaring of the CyberDragon. It was Hichigo. What the heck? How am I still able to hear him?

"Fight it! Do not give in!" Hichigo shouted," Don't leave me like last time!"
