Darkness engulfed me, and I felt as though I were in a trance. My eyes felt heavy, and I wasn't sure if my eyes were even opened. It is hard to tell since it is pitch black. I nearly jumped out of my skin when a hand fell on my shoulder.

"You must awaken, Hikari," the person said, and I was relieved to find out that it was Kokkai. She gripped my shoulder tighter and shouted defiantly," Awaken your true power! Awaken, Hikari! Do not be subject to your fear!" To my surprise, she was visible in the darkness.

I strained against the darkness, struggling to lift it, but to no avail. I screamed in frustration, unable to awaken myself from this trance.

"Lend me your power, Kokkai," I grunted, struggling to push back the dark. When a stole a glance at her, I saw her shake her head solemnly. Is she refusing to lend me power?

"You cannot draw out your power from me, Hikari," Kokkai said with a deathly glare," You must draw it from the Thundering General. The CyberDragon."

I stared at her in disbelief for a moment, but then it began to make sense. Kokkai is only the manifestation of my power while the FinalBringer powers that I have are foreign, so I must draw them out of the lender, not myself. I snarled and reached out for the CyberDragon. I couldn't see him, but I could feel his presence.

"I knew that you would want power sometime, Hikari," he roared in delight," Allow me to lend you power, and you shall be my servant." His laugh shook my bones and made my chest ache with pain. I reluctantly released the walls guarding my soul so that the CyberDragon could give me his power. "Good girl. Good girl," he soothed me.

"Not quite," I snarled and shut off the flow of his power into me before he could take over my body. A large portion of his power was imbedded in my soul, and I used it to wake myself up. I must take control! I must awaken!

The CyberDragon howled in despair and called my name, but I pushed him away from my mind. He will never be able to control me.

"You damn idiot! Get back here, you dog," he howled through the darkness. The dark began to give way to light, and his voice gradually faded as I regained consciousness. I gasped a deep breath of air and looked around frantically.

"What... the hell," I heard someone mutter. The voice was Hichigo's voice, and when I looked down, I saw him. He looked a lot smaller than before, and I swear that he is a little less than half of my height. What the hell happened to me?

My body felt heavy, and I noticed that I was wearing a suit of metal. No. That's not it. I am metal. My body is coated with a bluish metal, and I had a long winding tail behind me. I nearly screamed in horror when I saw that I had four arms, each with a large metal sword.

My head felt dizzy, and I began to collapse. Hichigo stepped aside as I crashed to the ground with a loud clang. Am I... a CyberDragon, too?

"Hikari," a voice, Hichigo, whispered in my ear making me shiver. I blinked and was surprised to find myself back in Ichigo's room, and Hichigo sat beside me. "Do you feel better?"

I struggled to sit up, and Hichigo assisted me, placing his hand at the small of my back. When he removed his hand, I couldn't hold myself up and fell back on the bed with a groan of pain. His golden eyes brimmed with sympathy.

"I will take that as a no," he whispered, a soft smile playing on his lips," Now lay down. You need to rest before attempting to move around anymore."

"O-Okay," I stuttered and I winced when a fresh wave of pain washed over me. Hichigo pressed a cold palm to my forehead to feel my temperature. His hand was freezing, but it felt refreshing against my warm skin.

"You are running a fever," Hichigo's smile twisted into a frown. He drew his hand back and stood up from the bed. "Let me go get you a glass of water," he insisted as he exited the room.

A few moments passed before he returned with a glass full of water. He returned to his spot beside me on the bed and propped me up on his knee, careful not to hurt me. I felt his hand on mine as he helped me take a sip of water, and I knew that if he let go, I would probably drop the glass. Once I had gulped it down, he set in on Ichigo's desk, but his hand never left mine.

"W-What happened," I asked shakily," I mean, before I blacked out."

"You changed into a metal beast, Hikari. I think it is the FinalBringer powers that you inherited after defeating your father," Hichigo said softly.

"A CyberDragon..." I said in disbelief," I didn't want to consider that possibility, but I think that is what it is. While I was transforming, I took a large amount of the Thundering General's power, so it must have transformed me to the likeness of his kind."

"You know what this means, don't you?" Hichigo asked, a grin stretching across his pale face. I sighed as his fingers twined with mine, and I squeezed his hand lightly in response. I relaxed, and rested my head in his lap.

"Yes," I mumbled against the fabric of his white kimono," I know exactly what it means."

"It means that now, we have a chance of rivalling this CyberDragon General," Hichigo whispered, pecking me on the lips softly. I laughed, resulting in another wave of pain, but I ignored it.

"You shouldn't kiss me while I'm sick, idiot," I put my hand on his forehead and pushed him away playfully," You're gonna get sick yourself." Hichigo smiled and kissed me, passionately this time. When he pulled away, he was wearing a smirk.

"That is just a chance I am willing to take," Hichigo winked at me and squeezed my hand reassuringly," Now go to sleep."
