The way to London couldn't seem longer. Luckly, I finally arrived.
I feel lightheaded when I slowly take my luggage and limp to the apartment. I am lost in thoughts. What if I don't like it here? What if something bad will happen? What if someone will know my secret I'm trying so hard to keep from everyone? What if-
I run into someone, stumble backwards and fall on the floor dropping all my belongings."Watch where you are going." - a stranger growls and quickly leaves.
"Jake! Jake wait- . Are you okay?"
I look up and see a man probably a few years older than me.
"Yes. I'm fine." - I say grabbing his hand. Electricity runs through my veins. Did he feel that?
"I don't recognize you. You must be new."
"Yeah. I just arrived here." - I hope he won't ask why I moved to London.
"Can I help you with bags?"
"Um, okay. Thank you." - I say after a moment of hesitation.
"Don't mention it. Where do you live?"
"Apartment 4."
"Cool. I live next to you in the third one."
We carry my luggage in silence. I glance at him. He has a dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. A small smirk is playing on his lips. The man seems nice. Maybe we can be friends.
"Like what you see?"
I quickly look away, blush covering my cheeks. The man chuckles at my embarassment.
"Why did you decided to move here?"
I knew he was going to ask this question sooner or later. I can't tell him about the accident because I don't want to break down in front of a stranger.
"Um, I- ." - I stutter not knowing what to say.
"It's okay. You don't have to tell me."
"Thanks."
"Is this everything you've got?" - he asks placing my suitcase on the floor.
"Yes. I took the most important things."
"I guess I'll be going. Oh, I forgot. My name is Tyler."
"I'm Naomi. It was nice to meet you."
"You too. See ya."
"Bye." - I say closing the door.
The only thing I'm thinking about is sleep. When I find a bedroom I immediately cuddle under the blanket and drift into much wanted sleep.
