Riiing.
Riiing.
Riiing.

I groan when ringing doesn't stop. I'm this type of a person who thinks that alarm is the most annoying thing on the Earth. I'll give anything to stay in bed longer. Anything but not my locket. Instantly, my thoughts drift to my parents.

''Why can't you forget about them?'' - I ask myself.

The anwser is simple.

''Because you love them.''

I know they would like me to move on. So I get up and take a cold shower. It always wakes me up. I throw on my work clothes - black jeans, a white shirt and a grey cardigan. I put my hair into a high ponytail, grab a bag and go out.

''Ready?'' - Tyler asks.

''Ready as I'll ever be.'' - I respond sounding confident.

''Let's go, then.'' - we get in the car and drive to 'Koohii Cafe'.

A couple of minutes later we park in front of our destiny. It's a large one-storey building with big windows. When I enter the cafe I fall in love with it. And this smell of the coffee...

''Wow.'' - I whisper hypnotized.

''Good morning! You must be Naomi Parker.'' - says a friendly-looking man.

''Yes, that's me.''

''Can you come with me to my office so we can talk about the job?''

''Of course.'' - I reply.

I see Tyler giving me a reassuring smile. I smile back.

''As I said earlier, your job is to take the orders and deliver them. You'll work a few days so I can see if you are good at it. Is everything clear?''

''You can start now.'' - he says when I agree.

I get a notebook together with one of the pens and approach a table.

''Good morning. Are you ready to order?'' - I ask politely.

''Yes. I'd like to have a raspberry tea and an apple pie.'' - I quickly write it down.

''Great chioce. What about you, sir?''

''I'll take a black coffee and an apple pie, too.''

''Okay. It will be ready in a few minutes.''

I tell the order and wait. It's done faster than I thought.
''Here you are.''

''Thank you.''

On my way back I see a waitress flirting with Tyler. I feel a pang of jealousy. He looks uncomfortable so I make my way to the table.

''Hey- '' - I look at her badge.
'' -Jenna. I thought it's a cafe, not a strip club. No need to throw yourself at your customers.'' - Tyler bursts out laughing.

''What?! Oh, I see. You're new here. I'll say it once and I won't repeat. Do. Not. Mess. With. Me.'' - she threatens.

''I already know that. I don't want to get all of that make up on me.'' - I snap.

*****
Jenna takes the nearest cup and spills the drink on my head.

''What is going on here?!'' - boss storms into the room.
''Get out of here, both of you.''
*****

Jenna grabs the cup and I quickly step on the side. I hear a woman shouting behind me.

''Look what you have done!'' - she yells at Jenna.

''I-, I didn't mean to do it'' - she stutters.

''What is going on here?'' - our employer runs towards us.

''She spilled a tea on my new dress!'' - the woman points her finger at Jenna.

''You're fired. Get out.'' - she angrily storms out of the building.
''I'm really sorry. I don't know what happend to her.'' - he tries to fix the situation.
''I'll give back your money.'' - he gives her a couple of bills.
''And you, Naomi, I guess you get a job. I'll call you later this week. You can go home now.'' - he smiles.

''Thank you, sir.'' - Tyler and I head to the exit.

''What a crazy day.'' - he says.
''By the way, thanks for stopping her.''

''Believe me, you looked very uncomfortable with her presence.'' - I giggle.

We hop in his car and drive home laughing all the time.

I'm glad that I met him that day.
