''Here you are. Cappuccino and banana dessert.'' - I smile placing the order on a table.
''Thank you.'' - replies a young women.
I hear a ringing symbolizing someone entered the building. I tilt my head to see who's that. I'm surprised because it's Tyler. He instantly smiles when he sees me.
''Good afternoon. What would you like to order?'' - I ask him leaning against the table.
''Let me see.'' - he flips pages in the menu.
''A kiss from a pretty waitress and a black coffee.'' - his response makes me roll my eyes.
''It will be done in a minute.'' - I leave swaying my hips with a smirk on my face.
I realise that Tyler hasn't got my number. I take a piece of paper, write it down and put under the cup.
In the corner of my eye I notice Jenna - the waitress that wanted to spill a tea on me. She approaches his table, talks a bit and sits next to him. What is she doing?
I grab a cake and head to another customer. I nearly fall on the floor when I see Jenna's hand on Tyler's thigh. Did he forget he has a girlfriend? Anger boils inside me but I don't let it show.
I take the coffee, put on a fake smile and deliver it.
''Here you are.'' - I quickly put it on a table and turn around to leave.
''Hey, you. Maybe I want to order something.'' - Jenna says in her annoying voice.
''What would you like?'' - I ask taking out my notebook.
''A strawberry dessert.'' - I sigh remembering we ran out of them.
''Sorry but we don't have strawberries. What about a raspberry one?''
''I'm allergic to raspberries.''
''Bananas?''
''I don't like them.'' - I didn't know I can hate somebody so fast.
''Cherries?''
''Oh God. Okay. They aren't that bad.''
''Is that all?''
''Yes.'' - I can't stand her anymore so I just go away.
The clock says it's a minute until 2 p.m. Finally!
When the dessert is ready I serve it and quickly leave the cafe. I decide to text James.
Meet me at the park?
He texts back when I get in my car.
K. Where?
At the picnic area.
I'll be soon.
I sit on a bench and lay the bag on my lap.
''Hey, Naomi. How is life going?'' - James asks happily. I sigh and look down.
''What happened?'' - he sits next to me. I tell him about the situation. He tries to lighten my mood but it doesn't help.
''I know that we are together and she did it on purpose but that's not the thing. What if I'm not enough? I'm plain. She is stunning. Her body is perfect. What if he will get bored with me and leave?'' - I say.
''Do you think he'll leave you?'' - James asks quietly.
''I don't know. He seems like a good guy.''
''Then what are you afraid of?'' - I just shrug not being able to answer the question.
''That's what I regret the most. I always trust too much and easily become attached to others. At the end, I'm heartbroken and alone.'' - I say honestly. We sit silently looking at the sunset.
''It's late. I'll get going.'' - I put the bag on my shoulder and hug him.
''See you, Naomi. Remember that you can call me whenever you want.''
''Thanks. Bye.''
Growling of my stomach reminds me that I haven't eaten in a long time. The first thing I see when I enter the kitchen is a gift from Tyler - beautiful red roses.
A sigh escapes my lips as I take a bottle of water from the fridge and lay on the couch. I grab my phone. I'm shocked when I see that I have 4 missing calls and 6 messages from unknown number.
When will I get the kiss?

I'm fine - I let him know nothing wrong happened. I switch off the phone ignoring him and go to bed.
