I got out of the car stepping into the cool fall air. "Only one more year I have to do this then UCLA here I come." I reminded myself

I walked up to the entrance of the school and the smell of cigarettes and marijuana hit me. Of course, the work of the school delinquents. I slowed my walk as I heard the school bell ring. I didn't want last weeks incident of me almost getting trampled to death to repeat itself.

"What's wrong?"Jon asked slowing his walk with mines.

He was in usual 'bad boy' attire black shirt dark pants. He had his backpack slung over one shoulder. Our mom took him shopping but he refused to put any color into his wardrobe. He stepped in front of me and raised and eyebrow.that's when I noticed I had ignored his question.

"Is this about me coming back to school? Because if it is I promise I won't cause any trouble for you ok." He put a hand on my shoulder.

I laughed lightheartedly patting his shoulder. "Trouble is your first name, and we all know i can't ask you not to be yourself." I smirked at him and he pouted shaking my hand off of his shoulder.

I opened the door to walk in and continued my mission of finding the office. Lucky for me I found it faster than I did last week. I had to take my brother to get his schedule and get a new locker since mines refuses to open for me.

The lady in the office gave Jon his schedule and me some semi-complicated instructions to finding my new locker.

"See you later." Jon said starting down the hall.

"You don't need me to show you to your locker?" I asked.

"From the looks of it you need help finding yours." My brother snorted with laughter and turned the corner.

Shaking my head and looking down at my paper I started walking down the hall.

"Ouch!"

" I am so sorry." I said bending down to pick up the books I dropped.

"Are you blind?" The girl said bending down to help me pick up my books. "There's a whole different part of the hall you could of used." She handed me a book then stood up.

"We have a genius." I mumbled rolling my eyes and standing up.

"Excuse me?" She crossed her arms.

"Nothing I- nevermind" I wasn't really in the mood to make enemies. I've heard from plenty of girls that I have a "smart mouth" as some would say. I already had one guy look like he was ready to rip my head off for bumping into him Last week. I didn't need anymore trouble.

For the first time I was able to get good look at the girl. She was about two heads taller than me. she had long blond hair that flowed down to her waist, with deep sea blue eyes. She had on a red, white, and black cheerleading uniform with the initials "NHS"on it. Which I'm guessing stood for Norway high school.

"I can see your new here, right?" She held her hand out. "I'm Emily"

"Storm" I said smiling.

"Oh that's... Different"

"How did you know I was new." She pointed to the bright neon pink paper that I was holding. "It's kind of hard to miss." She chuckled. "Here let me see." She looked down at the piece of paper.

I realized this was a good time to find out where my locker was.

"Do you happen to know where locker 220 is?" I asked.

Emily looked up at me surprised. "Why?" She asked.

"I dunno maybe because its my locker and I would like to put my things into it." I spoke dully.
