Ian's POV
I stood drink in my hand bored out of my mind listening to the blonde talking in front of me. Sure she was hot but, I lost interest minutes ago when she started talking about her dog or some shit. I just wanted to get her drunk enough so she would agree to do me a few favors. A few favors that we would both enjoy. I was drunk, but I wasn't the "fall on your ass" drunk most people at this party were going to be before they left. I fortunately still had my motor skills.
"So Emily thinks she's all that. I mean can you believe her? She says I'm not good enough to be on the cheerleading team. Please, she's running that team into the ground." She rambled on and on and on. Seriously did this girl have an off switch? "So I'm like I'm not good enough for the team? But you let the new girl, whats her name?... Oh yeah Storm. So she let her join with zero experience when I have been cheering since 3rd grade. She just doesn't like competition that's all." I took a deep breath. This girl was really pushing it."I mean-"
"Shut up!" I yelled
She gasped.
"Just please shut. the. fuck. up." I said more calmly. " I can't take it. I don't care about your freaking dog. I don't care about your fucking girly cheer or hormonal problems. And your laugh! Has anyone told you how fucking annoying that laugh is?!" I laughed nervously. "I mean seriously you sound like Barney from the fucking flinstone's."
Her chest started to heave up and down. Which was very attractive. I kind of wished I could take back what I said for a moment. But ladies and gentlemen we both know it's a little too late for that.
This show is about to begin in three, Two, One.
"Fuck you!" The blonde said. With those words I felt the stinging pain in my right cheek.
Rubbing my face I smirked. "What do you think I been trying to get you to do for the last half an hour?"
She opened her mouth then closed it. She opened her mouth again to say something but, I guess she decided against it. Frustrated she groaned loudly and stomped away.
I took another drink from my beer and turned around just in time to see storm stumble into the kitchen.
Trying to act normal as possible I headed towards her.
As I got closer Storm had taking a sip of her drink which I'm assuming was a little too strong for her since she started coughing like she was dying. I grabbed a napkin off the counter and squirmed out of the grasp of an girl who tried to drag me to dance. I walked up and handed it to her. Without even looking up she choked a thank you and grabbed the napkin from my hand.
"A bit stronger than your used to?" I asked amused.
She looked up in pure embarrassment. "Yeah, you should know I'm not that much of a drinker." She slurred.
"I can't tell!" I shouted over the music that had just started playing. Right now FDB by Young Dro was playing. Almost everyone in the crowd was doing the now famous dance that Comedian Kevin Hart had made up. I laughed slightly looking over at the ridiculous crowd, but quickly turned my attention back to storm.
"What?" She shouted back confused.
"Your slurring."
"That doesn't mean I'm drunk." She replied crossing her arms.
She started to walk away and almost instantly started to sink down to the floor. I caught her arm and started to walk, my grip tightened when she stumbled. She let me support her weight allowing me to guide her outside.
Storm's POV
I was beginning to walk away from the overly confident jerk when I felt an overwhelming desire to sink to the floor. But I didn't reach it. Instead, I felt Ian's strong hand take hold of me and start to lead me away from the crowded kitchen. His grip around my arm tightened when I stumbled. I let my weight be supported and allowed Ian to to guide me to wherever we were going.
