Out On The Battlefield

"Open! Gate of the lamb! Aries!" Lucy Heartfilia called forth her undoubtedly most caring and gentle spirit.

Aries, in her usual wool clothes, started shaking. "You... you called, Lucy?"

"Yeah!" Lucy pointed towards the monster she, Natsu, Erza, Gray, and Wendy had to take down. "We need your help defeating this thing!"

"O-okay..." Aries stuttered. She tried to engulf the monster in a blanket of pink fluffy clouds, but the thing knocked away the clouds with its gigantic fist, knocking Aries away with it.

"O-ouch! I'm so sorry, Lucy, I tried, but it just punched my spell and I away..." Aries cried as the celestial mage helped her up. Lucy smiled kindly. "Aw, don't beat yourself up over it, Aries! Do you need some help?"

Aries nodded hesitantly, "If... if it wouldn't be too much trouble, some help would be nice..."

Lucy nodded back in response and pulled out the Zodiac Key Leo, or as more commonly known to her and the others, Loke.

"Open! Gate of the lion! Loke!" Lucy exclaimed. She'd been training and now she had enough power to summon multiple spirits at once.

In front of her appeared the infamous leader of the zodiacs.

"You're looking as pretty as ever, you two," Loke smirked.

Aries blushed and Lucy just sighed.

"So, why'd you call me up?" Loke asked.

"Aries needs some help taking this monster down!" Lucy gestured towards the monster that Natsu, Erza, and Gray were fighting.

Loke winked over at the still blushing pink haired spirit. "No problem. I'll do anything to help this cutie out!"

Aries blushed even more and Lucy laughed. "Get to it, you two!"

With their strongest powers, Loke and Aries struck towards the monster at the same time as the others, who also hit it with all they had.

The blow took the monster down, but it also sent everyone else tumbling back. Loke managed to stay on his feet in a defensive stance, that is, until Aries came crashing into him with a squeal of terror and surprise, knocking him down.

She looked down to find herself on top of a dazed Loke, and squeaked.

"I... I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-" She stopped in shock when she felt a pair of lips on hers.

Loke smiled up at her. "Always wanted to do that."

Lucy and the others ran over and gasped.

"What happened here?" Gray asked.

Lucy looked away, her face red in embarrassment.

"We'll leave you alone if that's what you want! S-sorry to stumble up on you like this!" She exclaimed.

Loke's and Aries's eyes widened.

"It's... it's not what it looks like, I swear!!" Aries squeaked, rolling off of Loke. "It was that huge blow of p-power, I promise!"

"Yeah, but who knew that such a blow could do wonders like that?" Loke chuckled and helped Aries p after standing up himself, wrapping an arm around her.

Lucy smiled, "Thanks for all the help, you guys. You're free to go back if you want to!"

"Yeah. I think I owe someone a date," Loke smiled back at her.

Aries looked down and blushed.

They both disappeared and Erza smiled.

"Looks like Loke will be leaving you alone from now on, Lucy," the redhead laughed.

"Yeah. But I'm happy for them," Lucy smiled sweetly.
