Sunset Peak

This is MirAxus oneshot requested again by the lovely teenikelFanfic!! Enjoy!

"Mira, can you help me with something?" Cana asked the white haired beauty.

"Of course!" Mirajane replied sweetly.

"It's Laxus. He's been worrying me lately. He hardly ever talks anymore. It's like he's been a completely different person ever since ol' Gildarts let him back into the guild," Cana said.

Laxus had always been like a brother to her.

Hearing Cana's news, Mirajane began to feel worried to. She'd always felt a little different about Laxus. He was special to her in a different way.

"He's hardly ever around here, too. Always hangs out by this hill that's pretty far from the guild," Cana continued.

"You mean Sunset Peak?" Mirajane asked.

(Sunset Peak is a thing I made up btw)

Sunset Peak was a hill where people often went to calm themselves, to relieve stress, and sometimes to confess lots of different things. Often people went there to see the sunset, thus it's name. The colors were said to calm them down or to reassure them that there was still light in their darkest times.

"Yeah, Sunset Peak," Cana replied.

"I was thinking that since he seems to open up to you quite a bit, you could help him with whatever he's been going through," she added.

Mirajane felt shocked.

"Me? But what if it's something personal? I don't want to upset him," she frowned.

Cana smiled, "You won't! You always know what to say and what to do."

Mirajane sighed, knowing that Cana wouldn't let her avoid it.

"Oh, alright," she said.

"Kinana, would you mind taking care of my position here for a bit?" Mirajane asked.

"Of course not. Take your time, Mira!" Kinana replied sweetly.

Mirajane thanked her quickly and made her way outside the guild towards Sunset Peak.

It was a fifteen minute walk there, so not after long, she reached it.

Sure enough, she saw the lightning dragon slayer, sitting against the only tree on top of the hill.

Mirajane quietly walked up the hill, shivering slightly from the autumn breeze.

"Laxus?" She asked softly.

Laxus turned around and his eyes showed surprise for a second.

"Mira... What're you doin' here?" He asked, looking down.

"I came here to see you. Cana told me she was worried that there might be something the matter with you, so that's why I'm here. If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine," the takeover mage smiled sweetly.

Laxus shook his head. "It's nothin' like that. It just feels so weird t' be back in the guild all of a sudden."

Mirajane sighed and sat down next to him, hugging her knees to her chest and leaning her head against the tree trunk.

"Weird? What do you mean?" She asked, looking up into the sky.

"I'm just... I'm kinda surprised you guys accepted me back into Fairy Tail so easily, after e'rything I did," Laxus said.

"You definitely made up for it! After all the help you provided when we were dealing with Grimoire Heart, how could we not be happy that you're back with us again?" Mirajane grinned up at him, and he looked back into her blue eyes, almost getting lost in them.

"I think I've been the happiest of all since you got back into the guild, Laxus," she added.

"Whaddya mean?" A slight pink dusted his cheeks.

Mirajane sat on her knees to reach his height level and kissed Laxus's cheek, smiling.

"That answer your question?"

Laxus touched his cheek and nodded. "Y-yeah..."

"I love you!"

"I love ya, too."
