Magic at The Dance (pt. 1)

This is a StingYu AU oneshot requested by my great friend teenikelFanfic! She has an amazing Fairy Tail fanfic that I recommend you check out, and all of her other works are awesome too, so you may wanna go give her a follow! ^v^
I'm really sorry it took me so long to get to this, T! (You don't mind if I call you T, do you? I hope not! 😅)
But yeah, let's get right to it!

Don't faint, don't faint, don't faint, Yukino thought as her crush, Sting Eucliffe, stood in front of her in the lunch line at Sabertooth High School.

Almost every girl in school had a crush on him or his friend, Rogue Cheney. [I would've had a crush on Rogue just sayin //slapped]

[I don't know any Sabertooth girls except Minerva, but she doesn't really like Yukino, does she? I'm sorry- I have to make up a character for Yukino to be friends with-- feel free to shoot me (:]

Yukino's friend, Aqua, sighed behind Yukino in the line. She spoke in her shy and sweet voice, lowered to a whisper. "What do all these girls see in Sting? No offence, Yukino - I just feel like he's so oblivious to the fact that all these girls are fawning over him..."

Yukino sighed dreamily and shook her head. "I'll tell you about it in a second." The girls grabbed their lunch trays and sat down next to each other at a table.

"Now," Yukino spoke up. "A while back, before Sabertooth started piling up with more and more new students, Sting and I... we hung out a lot. We were really close. Same with Rogue, too! It was always the three of us. But now... I just feel like all of the attention those two are getting has seperated me from the boys. We barely hang out and the only times we talk to each other is when we exchange a greeting in the hallway or anything like that..." she let out a sigh and took a breath.

Aqua smiled. "I think it's safe to assume that the feelings you have for Sting developed when you two and Rogue were very close, right?"

Yukino nodded. "Rogue is very nice but I never saw him in the same way I saw Sting - we were equally as close, but in a different way."

"Right," Aqua said. "I get it."

There was silence for a moment.

"I'VE GOT IT!" Aqua squealed loudly. Everyone in the cafeteria turned to look at her, even the staff.

"U-um," she said, voice lowered to a shy whisper. "S-sorry..."

Everybody turned back and resumed what they were doing. Yukino giggled.

"S-seriously!" Aqua exclaimed, her cheeks tinted light pink in embarrassment. "I might have a solution."

"What is it?" Yukino asked, mentally sweatdropping. Aqua may have been shy and sweet, but you never knew how her ideas and plans would turn out.

"The Valentine's Day dance is coming up! Isn't it anyone-asks-anyone this year? You should totally ask Sting!" Aqua squealed.

"That's a good idea," Yukino nodded in agreement. "But how?"

"Just, like, make him a cute card and ask him to go to the dance with you! Or bring him food... if I know anything about Sting, it's that he loves food!" Aqua suggested.

"But... would he like my cooking?" Yukino asked timidly.

"Um?" Aqua stared at Yukino like she had just said something impossible. "Girl, if he doesn't like your cooking, he's not worth it."

Yukino laughed. "Thanks, Aqua."

"And, also," Aqua added, "your laugh will get you any guy you want." She wiggled her eyebrows.
