Spot's P.O.V.

I made my way to the Circulation office where we bought our papers.

"Great it's the arrogant bastard" Fetch said eyeing me. Fetch sold us out papers.

"Fetch how's ya wife?" I asked "Oh wait you don't have one".

All of the Newsies laughed at my mockery.

"Yeah yeah how many?" Fetch asked me.

"Hundred" I said slamming down my money and I made my way to the Brooklyn bridge to start selling.

"Stop it give me back my papes!" A girl yelled.

I ran to where the voice was coming from it was Liz the Delancys had her pinned against a wall. Oscar noticed me.

"It's Conlon run" he said to Morris.

"You win today Conlon next time it won't be so easy" Morris said and they ran down the block.

"You alright?" I asked Liz handing her her papers.

"Yeah thank you"she replied "Where were you?"

"The Brooklyn bridge" I replied.

"Was my voice really that loud?" She asked.

"Yeah it was pretty loud" I said.

She laughed. "Well I'se better get sellin"

"Yeah me too" I replied and we headed in separate directions.

After selling all my papes I went to Tibby's and then headed back to Brooklyn. Before I knew it it was night. I headed to the Brooklyn bridge where Liz and I was supposed to meet. Just when I thought she wasn't coming she came around the corner she noticed me and stood beside me.

"So what is it you'se gotta show me?" She asked.

Liz's P.O.V.

He pointed out to the harbor where there were couples in boats and lanterns floating in the sky.

"It's beautiful" I said "Do you always come here?"

"Every once in a while I like to see all the couples do this" he replied.

A lantern flew near us and he grabbed it.

"Make a wish?" He asked.

"I wish for freedom, peace, and a great future" I said.

"I wish the same and I also wish that if I tried to kiss Liz that she wouldn't throw me into the harbor" he said.

I smiled and we let the lantern float away.

"Do you think my wish will come true?" He asked.

"Only one way to find out" I replied.

Spot pressed his lips onto mine and I melted into it. Fireworks went off in my head and butterflies erupted in my stomach. I didn't want it to end so I deepened the kiss we finally pulled away.

"So does this make you me goil now?" He asked me.

"I guess it does" I replied.

He took the key off around his neck and placed it around mine.

"Your key?" I asked.

"It's the key ta Brooklyn well it is to me anyway and you'se the key to me heart" he said.

I blushed "I think we both know that" I said.

He pushed me into the harbor

"Spot!" I scolded

He laughed. I grabbed his ankle and pulled him in with me we both splashed water at each other for the longest time. We had so much fun together but we both knew that it had and we got out of the water. We dried off and I kissed him goodbye and headed back to Manhattan.

(The next day)

"No Spot don't!" I said to Spot as he was loading my hat into his slingshot.

He dropped his hands he gave me my hat back. He led me to his perch and he climbed up it.

"Come on up"he said.

"I can't" I said "I'm scared of heights"

I expected him to laugh but he climbed down and helped me up. I close my eyes and climbed the ladder with him. I opened my eyes when we got to the top. He sat on a crate and sat me on his lap. I laced my fingers with his and laid my head on his shoulder. He ran his fingers through my hair and kissed my head.

"You're so beautiful" he said to me

"Not everyone thinks so" I replied

"well that's their loss you're the most beautiful goil I'se had ever met" he said I smiled

"Spot you know I have to head home" I said my voice falling a little

"I'll see you tomorrow" he said he kissed me and I left. Not even words could describe how much I loved him.
