(ON HOLD) Captain America x Reader x Chris Evens

Chapter 5

*Chris's POV*
I sit back wondering when [Y/n] will get back home. It was late afternoon and I was starting to regret telling her it was OK to go on that mission. I barely got any time with her ,but I knew this job was important. Plus I knew how much she loved Captain America. There was no way I could have denied her the chance to meet her idol. It also worried me about the danger level of the mission. If did require the Captain then it most likely meant that is was a high stakes mission. I wish I knew then maybe I wouldn't be as worried or maybe I would be ten times as worried. I wonder if [y/n] worries about me as much as I worry about her when I'm away on missions. I remember when the two of us were able to work together, but scince we became an official couple we couldn't out of fear it would get in the way of the mission. Unable to sit still I got up and walked to the kitchen to prepare my self supper. Looking in the fridge I found the ingredients to make [fav food] which I had planned to make for [y/n]. I thought of making something else, but there wasn't much of a chance that she would be getting him tonight but I still hesitated. Thinking about it I put the ingredients back up and got out what I needed to make a sandwich. I just couldn't bring myself to make [fav food] without her. After making the sandwich I turned on the TV and say on the couch watching [fav movie]. I remember watching this with [y/n] on one of our first dates. I had never heard of it then ,but I was willing to do anything to make her happy. To see that beautiful smile that lit up her face all to rarely.
About halfway through the movie I saw head lights I'm our driveway. I hadn't invited anyone over so that ment there were only three possibilities: one I was being picked up for a mission which was unlikely considering I hadn't been contacted by dispatch, two [y/n] was home which was the best option , or three one of our enemies had found us. Hoping it was [y/n] I looked out of the window next to the door and saw one of S.H.I.E.L.D's standard issues cars. That eliminated the third possibility but it could still be someone to pick me up. I opened the door and walked out onto the front porch switching on the light to get a better view. The back door to the car opened and [y/n] stepped out. I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding and started to run forward to her. Then he stepped out as well. Steve Rogers in the flesh. He stepped out and hugged [y/n]. Unlike with most people she gladly accepted the contact. I took a step back filled with jealousy. It was months before she even let me high five her ,and now here she is whit this man laughing and hugging him. It took a moment before she look up and saw me standing there. I quickly smiled and attempted to cover my jealousy the best I could. By the look on her face my best just wasn't good enough. She quickly untangled herself from his arms and came towards me.
"Chris what's wrong?" She whispers in my ear as she hugs me.
"I'm fine. I was just worried about you that's all," I lie tilting her head up to kiss her. She smiles and connects her lips to mine. With a simple kiss she leaves me helpless and completely intoxicated. When she breaks away I can't help but want more.
"I know when you're lying to me Dorito," she whispers pulling out of my arms giving me the we'll-talk-about-this-later look.
"Steve I'd like you to meet my boyfriend Chris and Chris I'd like you to meet Steve," she says turning from me to Steve.
"It's nice to meet you Chris. I've heard alot about you," he says smiling and reaching out to shake my hand.
"Nice to meet you as well Captain Rogers, " I reach out and shake his hand. He seems nice enough.
"Oh just call me Steve. No need for the fancy titles Chris. Anyway I've got to get going. Thanks for showing me around [y/n]. Hopefully we can do it again soon and with Chris as well," he says with a smile. He waves and turns back to get in the car and leave.
"Now you're going to tell me what's wrong," [y/n] says turning back to head inside. From the tone of her voice I could tell she was less than pleased.
