Chapter 6

*Your POV*
After getting back inside you go to the room you share with Chris and change out of the clothes you had been wearing and into your [sleep wear]. After your done you walk into the living room into see Chris sitting on the couch watching TV. You walk over and sit next to him and put your head on his shoulder. Sensing you want to talk Chris grabs the remote and turns the TV off.
"So you want to tell me what that look was about?" you ask tilting your head up so your chin was now reading on his shoulder and raising an eyebrow. You hear him sigh and mumble something under his breath. "What was that? I couldn't hear you," you tease.
"It was nothing okay;don't worry about it," he answers.
"Chris I know you and normally when you meet new people your like a sweet little cupcake," you say.
"It's just you were so friendly with him. I mean it took me months to get you to say more than two words to me, and there you are hugging and laughing with him after what half a day?!" Chris says with growing agitation.
"Chris are you jealous?!" you ask.
"Yes! Yes I am [y/n]! How could I not be! For one he's Captain fucking America! And for two you're being all-all I don't even know!"
"Chris! First of all when I first met you I had alot of shit going on! I had just lost EVERYTHING that I loved! So ex-fucking-cuse me if I wasn't exactly the most social of people when we first met!"
"Yeah and I understood that and I still get that but with everyone else you kind and huggy and things like that ,but with me sometimes it's like you don't even like me that much!"
"Have you ever thought for one damn second that I don't like being close to you because if I lost you it would ruin me!"
"That doesn't make any damn sense! We're not on some damn soap opera!"
"Chris I jus- I just don't know. I love you Chris. I love you! I'm just so scared one day I'll wake up and you'll be gone or you won't love me."
"[Y/n] I will never stop loving you. Ever. And i f one day I do leave I want you to know that I would never want you to be sad about the time we had together. Yes if something did happen I know you couldn't just be happy again but I want you to try and be happy again one day if it does."
"God I'm just being so stupid I just don't know."
"No, you're not. Well a little but I started this by being jealous of something stupid."
" You were right to bring it up. We needed to talk about this."
"I guess you're right, but I just hate the way it can up."
"So do I. I'm just sorry."
"So am I. Let's just go to bed I'm tiered."
"Same. I've had a long day. Steve literally knows nothing about the modern world and it was exhausting trying to catch him up."
"That was what you had to do?"
"Yep. Teach the gear Captain Rogers what a spork is." The two of you laugh and walk to your bedroom quickly falling asleep together.
*The Next Day*
"Morning sleepy head," Chris greets you.
"Chris what time is it?" You ask.
"Ummm about 8:30."
"8:30! Chris why didn't you wake me up! I'm going to be late for work!"
"You don't have work today. I called Eyepatch and arranged for you to get today off since you had to 'work' yesterday."
"Chris you are the best!"
"Haha I know. And since either way I was supposed to have today off that means we can spend it together."
"So is same plan as yesterday or something else?"
"Something else."
"And what is that something else?"
"Well I was planning on going to the zoo, so I thought we could do that today."
"The zoo? I've never actually been to one before."
"Well you're about to go to one. Once we get breakfast we'll go, so dress for the occasion!"
"Haha! So will this zoo have [fav animal]?"
"Actually I think your in luck. They happen to have the [fav animal] there this week."
"Yay! I'm going to go get ready. And Chris?"
"Yeah?"
"You're the best!"
*The Zoo*
After half the day exploring and taking pictures you and Chris finally decide to take a break at a café at the zoo.
"So [y/n] do you like the zoo?"
"I love it! I've never seen this many animals in one place before!"
"Haha! Now I'm glad that you had to work yesterday. I love seeing that smile."
"I'm glad to this has been amazing!"
"Hey! [Y/n]! Chris!" A man in a baseball cap approaches the two of you waving. When he comes closer you recognize him. The one and only Steve Rogers.

A/n- hey I am so sorry about not updating over my break like I promised and for this chapter being late. I literally wrote and rewrote this chapter 5 or 6 times before I finally came up with this. I know where I'm going with this I just don't quite know how to get there. See ya next time!
