Chapter 31 - The Departure

"What? You're going to study in the states?" Irma said with a mouthful of sandwich.

It was lunch time and the gang were eating their luch at the school canteen.

"Yeah. Jillian told me about that," James, back to his own self, said.

"Man, why didn't you tell us?" Steven said to Keith.

"Is it alright for you, Yn?" Ariana whispered to Yna.

"Of course! Even if I'll miss him so much, it will be for his future," Yna answered,forcing a smile.

"Don't forget about us, bro!" Denver slapped Keith at the back.

"Don't look at other girls, or else you'll get hurt by this fork," Stella dared him.

Everyone laughed at Stella's joke.

"Of course not. I made a promise," Keith said as he looked at Yna.

At the graduation day...

'"Congratulations guys!" Beth excitedly said.

"Congrats Big Sis!" Jessie hugged Ariana.

"Big brother, congrats!" Nadine hugged Keith.

Everyone was happily celebrating their graduation except Yna.

James approached Yna who was silently sitting on her seat.

"Are you okay?"

Yna just nodded.

"Keith's leaving, huh. You can stop him if you want."

"I want to, but I know this is right."

On the other hand, Jillian hugged Keith.

"Keith! Congrats! I know I made you and Yna a rough time, but now, I'll try to move on. I will find someone better that you, evil man!" Jillian teased him.

At the airport...

"I'll just prepare our tickets," Mrs. Ayala said and left.

"Nadine, you'll come back soon, right?" Jessie asked.

"I'll be back after a few days."

"Promise me you'll be back!" Beth said with tears starting to flow.

"I'll just be on vacation. It's not like I'm going to transfer," Nadine happily said to calm Beth.

"Keith, be careful," Ariana hugged him.

"You promise not to look at other girls except Yn!" Stella dared.

"Or else!" Irma added.

"Of course," Keith said smiling.

"We will miss you," Stella and Irma hugged him.

"Bro! Take care, okay?" Denver and Steven patted him at the back.

"James, please take care of her while I'm away," Keith said.

"You bet. Just be sure to be back, or else you'll regret leaving her behind," James hugged Keith.

Yna was at the back just looking at him. She's afraid to approach him because she's afraid that she's going to cry. She held back the tears. But when Keith looked at her, her tears started to flow.

Keith hugged her girlfriend.

"Now now, don't cry. I'm not going to leave you forever."

"Oh Keith! I will miss you!" Yna started to cry.

Keith just hugged her to calm her down.

A lady's voice on the speakers spoke: "All flights bound for New York,please proceed to Booth 2. The plane will be leaving in 10 minutes."

"Bye Nadine! Take care!" Jessie and Beth, together with the others waved her goodbye.

"Listen to me, I will be back. I promise," Keith said to Yna.

"I will wait for you!" Yna sniffed.

Keith hugged her once more and said, "I love you, grandma deer."

"I love you too, evil Keith."
