Chapter 21 - Awkwardness

At the classroom...

"Good morning class! I am your homeroom teacher, Ms. Tiffany."

"Hey, Yn, she's Mr. Contez's, girlfriend, right?" Irma whispered to Yna.

Yna just nodded. She thought it was ridiculous to get jealous of Ma'am Tiffany. In fact, she just moved on from her crush, Sir Contez.

"I am a new faculty member, and I hope all of us can get along," Ms. Tiffany bowed to her students, then gave a bright smile.

"Wow! She's so pretty, man!" a boy student said.

"I know, man. But she's Sir Contezi's girlfriend. Man, he's so lucky!" Another boy student whispered.

"I will now assign you to your respective seats. Let's see..."

After arranging the students...

Irma sat beside Steven in the front row.

Stella was beside Jillian and James in the second row.

Denver was assigned beside Ariana, just behind his girlfriend, Stella, in the third row.

In the last row sat Yna beside Keith.

Yna felt awkward sitting beside him. Keith just looked like he doesn't even bother.

"Okay class. I will be passing you a sheet of paper. Please right your name on the respective box corresponding your seat," Ma'am Tiffany requested.

The paper was passed to Yna. After filling up, she passed it to Keith and accidentally, their hands touched. Yna quickly withdrew her hand.

"Sorry," Yna apologized, still feeling awkward.

"What are you sorry for? You're so weird," Keith said, with a smile.

During lunch break...

The gang were eating at the cafeteria.

Beth, Nadines, and Jessie also joined them.

"Irma, didn't you know that Nadine has many admirers in our class," Beth said.

"Really? What's the feeling, ey?" teased Stella.

Nadine blushed and stayed silent.

" You're Keith's sister alright," James added.

"Hahaha! James, you act just like your sister!" Steven laughed.

"I do not!" Stella pouted.

"You're such a whiny baby!" James teased his sister, then rustled her hair.

While everyone was busy, Ariana noticed that Keith and Yna were not there.

"Guys? Where are Yn and Keith?" Ariana interrupted.

"Keith said he'll go to the rooftop," Jillian said.

"Yn said...

Hey! Yn didn't told me where she was going! Yeah! That's right, hihihi" Irma said, faking a smile.

"Let's look for them later then," Steven suggested.

At the rooftop...

Keith was silently lying on the cement,eating a sandwich while looking up at the sky.

"Oh! You're here!" a girl suddenly spoke by the stairs.

"Yna..."

"I never thought you'll be here," Yna shyly said.

Keith just stayed silent, eating his sandwich.

"Ahm, I'll just go down then," Yna said.

"No. Stay," Keith suddenly said.

"Huh!?"

"I said, just stay here."

"Oh, okay." Yna sat at the far-end of the rooftop. She felt awkward towards Keith after she kissed him by the bus stop. But he doesn't look like he felt awkward to her. He looked normal, like nothing happened.

The two silently ate their meals.

"What should I do? Should I make a move now?" Keith thought to himself.
