22: Back to School

January 4, 6:40 am, Monday, Natsu's bedroom

Natsu's POV
"Natsu! Wake up!" I hear my mom yell.

I didn't answer. Why? Because it's Monday, and it's the end of winter break with my Luce.

"Kid if you don't wake up, I'm dragging you outta bed!" My dad yells.

I groaned and hid under my sheets.

"Natsu-san! Lucy-san said that she won't be going to school today!" Wendy yells.

I immediately got up and ran downstairs in a matter of 5 seconds.
Oh and by "ran", I actually tumbled down the stairs.

"What?!" I asked a giggling Wendy.

"Well that got him pretty quickly." Mom giggles.

"Just kidding! Lucy-san isn't skipping school today!" Wendy laughs as she skips to the kitchen.

"You really love 'er, don't you?" Dad asks as he pats me on the back.

I nodded as I pictured her smiling face in my head.

"She's a rare one indeed." Mom softly smiles at me.

I scratched my head to cover my embarrassment and and walked upstairs to take a short shower.

Lucy's POV
"Lucy! Get up!" Sting yells at me.

"Ugh" I hid beneath my warm sheets.

"Lucy, I don't have time for this. Get up or I'll carry you." Sting says as he pokes my head.

I didn't move, my body didn't feel like putting up with school.

"Alright then." He grunted as he picked me up and carried me to the bathroom.

He dropped me into the bathtub as I was still fully clothed and left.

I shrieked when I touched the warm, bubbly water.

I dried my hair after I finished my bath and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Aunt Mavis was making a Fairy omelet. I rushed down the stairs for an omelet so Sting doesn't eat it all.

"Did you hear the news Lucy?" Aunt Mavis asks.

"What news?" I asked back.

"That I'm the new principal of Sabertooth High School!" Sting happily tells me.

"And I'm his vice principal!" Yukino smiles.

"Really?! Congratulations you two!" I yell as I hugged them both.

"Sting's copying me!" Aunt Mavis pouts.

"Am not!" Sting yells at her.

"Are too!" She yells back.

"Am not!" He yells at her... Again.

"Are! Too!" She yells as she throws an egg at him.

"SHORTIE!" He yells, catching the egg so it doesn't stain his new suit.

"EGOTISTICAL MANIAC!" She yells back.

Yukino sighed in exhaustion and patted my shoulder.

"SHUT UP!" I yelled at both of them.

"Y-Y'know, she kinda reminds me of aunt Dimaria..." Sting gulped.

"F-Finally... Something w-we agree o-on!" Aunt Mavis stutters.

I left to go to school early again, to finish up some student council paperwork.

I wanted to walk with Natsu this morning, but then again he's with Mr 24/7 so this is kind of my moment of peace.
