I woke the next day early, well before the rest of the household woke. Or at least I thought.

I got up and got dressed, something  nice since I would be meeting Tommy's caretaker today.

Then I would be introducing Tommy to his knew caretaker. That's gonna be a challenge.

But I figured I would take him shopping before, maybe get him some knew clothes. He would like that.

Walking down the hall I noticed a door open slightly.

"Have you told her yet?" A voice came from behind the door.

"No" I heard Aiden say.

"With all due respect alpha...I think it best you tell her soon. Or at least push the date of the meeting of introducing her into the pack back until she knows." Alpha? Pack? What the fuck?...

"Yes I know. " Aiden said frustrated.

"Maybe you should take her out to lunch....have some bonding time. And then after.....tell her." The unknown voice said.

"Aubrey...she-" he sighs, "she's got a lot on her plate right now with her mom gone...I don't want to push more things on her, with so much going on, I don't know how much she can handle right now." I could tell Aiden was really stressed on this topic.....what could he want to tell me...I creep closer to the door....

Curiosity killed the cat... A quiet female voice whispered in my head. I was momentarily taken aback...but the other guy in to room spoke. I ignored to voice and focused on what was being said.

"She's stronger than you give her credit for. Give it a try." The door suddenly started open. I sprinted down the hall. Not wanting to get caught snooping.

I heard a chuckle, but I didn't know who it was but I had a feeling it was the same guy that was in the room. And that he was chuckling because he saw me snooping.

Oh Well.

I jumped in my truck and took off.

I drove to Flathead Valley Care Center. I couldn't help the smile that crept to my lips when I pulled up.

I missed Tommy, I saw him yesterday, I even dropped him off here, but I couldn't help it. I love him, more than anything, he was my saving grace.

He listened when I was upset, I mean really listened. The doctors said that he may hear what I say, but he doesn't understand.

But I saw the truth, he knew what I said, he understood perfectly, they underestimate him. He's may be challenged, but he's not stupid.

"Hey there baby brother." I say entering his room.

He replied with a gurgle, drool dripping from his chin. I smiled at him, walking closer to his bed. He reached his arm to me, gripping at my clothes he continued to gurgle and smile.

"So, do want to go shopping with me? I need some clothes for this stupid get-together Aiden is making me go to. And maybe we could go get you some knew clothes." He gurgles more, flopping his head all around. It was his way of nodding. "And then, go have lunch with a lady that wants to be your knew care taker." He frowned at me, shaking his head, he pulled his arm that had a fist full of my shirt back to himself. He then faced his head away from me, ignoring me.

"I didn't say it was for sure, if you don't like her I'll tell her no. But we have to find you someone. I have to go to school, and I can't be with you all the time. I need someone to take care of you when I can't be here." Tommy grunted. Still not looking at me. "Tommy please, just give it a try, if you don't like her I promise I'll keep looking for one you like. I want you to be happy."
