AUBREY
I didn't go to school today. I was busy planning.
"I'm gonna' spend some time at Lilly's" I said as I went out the door with my bag.
Aiden just nodded, "Alrighty. But text me all the time!" he said.
I mumbled and okay and went to see Tommy.
I walked into the care center and walked up to the man at the desk. "I think I'm going to take Tommy home." I said to the man.
He looked up, "Well mam' I don't think that is such a good idea, we'll just keep him here." then returned his eyes to the computer.
"He's dying. He needs to be home with family...I want him to be comfortable when he goes" I said in a whisper.
The man looked at me in pity, "Alright, I'll help you get him ready." he said.
"Thank you." I said.
We got Tommy loaded into a wheelchair and into the truck. "Just call us if when you need us to come and get...him." the man said.
I nodded. He meant when Tommy dies, call and they will remove the body.
He's not going to die. I won't let him.
I got in the truck and turned up the music and just drove.
The motel we stopped at was surrounded by trees, and two towns away from home.
When we got to the hotel I checked in under my mothers name, and used her credit cards for the room.
I rented a room, isolated from others on the corner.
The sun was starting to set, the lights above my door flickered, I unlocked the door then went back for Tommy.
I put him in the room and changed him into some sweats and a sweatshirt, not wanting him to be cold, then I fed him.
I combed his hair and gave him hugs, even though he wasn't awake to know it.
I sighed and went into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like hell. My hair was a mess, my makeup was smeared, and I had bags under my eyes. But that doesn't matter right now, I told myself. Tommy is what matters right now.
I changed too, puting on some yoga pants and a sweater.
I came out of the bathroom and leaned on the doorway, and watched Tommy sleeping in his chair.
The moon was out not so I put on some shoes and headed out the door.
I walked Tommy along a paved trail, when we came into a clearing I stopped.
"Tommy, Tommy wake up." I whispered in his ear.
Tommy's head flopped around but eyes didn't open, I shook him a little and his eyes opened.
He couldn't hold his head up well so he just peered at me through his lashes.
"Look at the moon Tommy, isn't it pretty." His head looked to the sky and I reached for his arm and kneeled down by his wheelchair, rubbing his hand.
I pulled his sweatshirt back so I had room to bite his arm. Tommy's head flopped to me, whatching me curiously.
"Look Tommy, the stars are out now too." I whispered and pointed up to the sky.
His head looked to the direction I pointed and then I bit him.
DOMENIC
I flinched and fell to the floor in pain.
I groaned as my whole body acked.
"Dallas!!" my mother screamed. "Dallas!!" she screamed sobbing over me, trying to get me to get up, pulling on my clothes.
My father ran into the room, with his beta and the neighboring packs alpha.
My father ran to me and picked me up, having help from the other alpha and our beta, pulling me from my mother.
They then walked from the room and laid me on my bed.
"Oh no...my baby." my mom sobbed brushing my hair out of my eyes.
"What's going on with him." My mom sobbed.
The alpha stood by my bed, "Looks to me like his mate is bonding with another." he said quietly.
My mother looked at me shocked, "What-what does that even mean!" she yelled to my father.
"Aubrey has just bitten someone, probably a human, changing them into a were. Binding herself to the human." he said, looking at me.
I struggled to move, but my body wasn't working, I just laid there staring at the ceiling, not knowing what to do, unable to move but still listening.
___________
I woke in the morning, to my mother laying beside me, she still lay sleeping so I grabbed a blanket and covered her, then left the room.
I walked into Lilly's room, slamming the door open.
"What has she done!" I yelled to Lilly, in my Alpha tone, demanding a response.
She looked at me and shook in the corner, but didn't respond.
"Tell me!" I demanded.
She just cowered and shook her head, "I can't."
I growled, angry she could deny my Alpha tone, I grit my teeth, "And why not." I growled out.
"Because, she could get hurt. I have to protect Luna." I nodded, knowing now why she could stand to not tell me.
It's because her Luna was in danger, and if denying an alpha command saved her then she would do it, any pack member could deny an alpha demand if it dealt with the Luna. Specifically, they could deny it, if they convinced themselves that the Luna would get hurt if they spoke, even if Luna wasn't in trouble.
"I know she changed someone last night." I spoke.
She looked at me and nodded. "She did."
"Do you know where she is?" I asked.
"No." she replied simply.
"Could you get a hold of her if you wanted to?" I asked.
She raised an eyebrow at me, "I suppose. But I don't want to. I know she is safe."
"But I don't, tell her I'm looking for her. And I will find her. That I am not mad at her, I just want her home safe." I said and left the room.
I wonder if her father knows what she has done.
