AUBREY

I woke early to a nock on the door.

"Aubrey, wake up." I felt the bed dip, occupying new weight.

Aiden shook me, "Come on, wake up sweaty."

I grumbled, "It's too early in the morning for this shit."

I rolled over away from him.

He sighed, "You start school today, I let you sleep in long enough, you have to get up or you will be late."

I sat strait up, glaring at him.

"Or....you could stay home, and we could talk." He suggested.

I raised an eyebrow at him, "Um, I'd rather go to school."

He nodded, expecting that answer, "Well, we need to talk sometime. The sooner the better. If not now, then later today."

I ignored him, standing from my bed, I wore only a loose sweatshirt, it came about mid thigh.

My hair messy and wavy, Samual always called it my sex hair.

He said I had the best sex hair he had ever seen, back at my old school I would just wear it like this.

My bed head looked fantastic, no lie.

But heat got me, I went all lion king if my hair got hot. I gave old Mufasa a run for his money on the biggest due.

I went to the closet and grabbed some clothes, then went to take a shower.

After my shower, I put on a little makeup, grabbed my bag, and headed down stairs.

I walked into the kitchen grabbing an apple for the way.

"School doesn't start for another hour." Aiden said over his steaming coffee cup.

"I know." I said simply.

He raised an eyebrow at me curiously.

Paula suddenly walked up to me, "here, I made you a lunch."

She handed me a brown bag. I stared at her shocked.

"um ya.......no thanks." I handed it back to her.

"oh...okay, well have a good day." She gave me gentle smile.

I nodded cautiously, what the heck happened to her?

I left in a rush, eager to see Tommy.

When finally at Tommy's care center, I nearly burst through the door.

I sprinted into Tommy's room, but he wasn't there.

I turned around, searching for him, but he was not there.

I began to worry, "Miss? I believe Tommy is walking in the garden with his caretaker."

I flipped around to stare at the male nurse, the one that Beth spoke to last night, "Tommy doesn't have a caretaker." I said pissed.

"Oh.....well Lu-Beth" he cleared his throat nervously, "She, um, she heard from me that you were searching for a caretaker, she um urged me to do um some research and find a few possible options. I did. Some came in today and saw him. But he only really liked one. They are in the garden now."

I nodded and started to turn to the garden, but stopped turning back slightly, "Next time, No one sees my brother without my permission. Beth or not, if you let anyone near him without my permission I will bring you to court." I hissed at him.

Yes, I was glad he found me a caretaker, but pissed they got to meet him without me present.

Walking outside, I saw Tommy sitting in his walker, giving his open mouthed smile and laughing, while an older woman sat there talking with him.
