Chapter 7
"Should we wake her up?" Well I'm awake now.
"Nah, just let her be." Thank you!
"She looks so beautiful when she sleeps... Did I just say that out loud?" Awe that's cute.
"Dude...That's just creepy. But look, she's blushing!" Damn, they caught me.
The voices around me awake me and I'm still blushing when I open my eyes and see 3 boys staring at me. I feel a vibration on the back of my head. I turn my head and find myself in someone's lap with my head on their chest. I look up a bit, and I'm met with a pair of crystal blue eyes looking directly at me.
"Morning sleepy." He laughs. I smile and nuzzle my head further into his chest not caring that the other boys are here, watching us.
"What time is it?" I ask sleepily. Luke removes his arm from my waist and I'm immediately cold from not having his big, strong, warm arms around me.
"It's 4:30 am. Why?" My eyes widen and I jump up from the couch.
"Shit, I forgot to text Caleb. He's probably worried sick that I didn't come home yesterday." I panic. "I have to go now. I'm so sorry." I say a bit ashamed. How could I not remember? How could I sleep for that long? And why didn't they wake me up. I feel a hand squeezing me shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay. We could drive you home. We have nothing to do 'till we have to go anyways." Luke offers looking at the other boys, "Right guys?"
"You have food?" Michael asks in all seriousness.
"Ehm...yeah? I think so. My brother's home so there's probably a lot." I say smiling a bit. Michael nods approvingly and shoots me a smile. "But you don't have to do that. I have my own car which I have to get home."
"We could just follow you in our car. Maybe Lukey over here could drive with you." Calum says, wrapping his arm around Luke's shoulder, wiggling his eyebrows. Luke blushes and smiles shyly at me.
"Sure. I don't have anything to do, so that'll be fine." I smile and grab my stuff, "Let's go." I say motioning them to follow me.
"We'll just meet you at the parking lot where you're parked, okay?"
"Of course." I nod, "You coming Luke?" He nods and blushes again. And I thought that I blushed a lot. I shoot him a smile.
The way to the car is silent. Not a comfortable type of silent, no on the contrary, it's a very awkward kind of silent. I feel Luke looking at me a lot, and every time I catch him looking, he quickly looks away, blushing. I think it's cute, though. The way his hand brushes mine, but never grabs it. The way he blushes all the time and looks down to hide it. The way his eyes switches color to a electric blue when he's happy or embarrassed. Just, everything.
We finally arrive at me car, after what feels like hours. I would lie if I told you that I didn't like to be alone with Luke for a bit. It's nice. Not anyone to bother us.
The first 5 minutes of the drive are still awkward until he finally decides to say something.
"Skylar, I don't want this to be awkward, okay? We've talked so much over texts and Skype, and I want that to continue." He says slowly placing his hand on mine. I smile at him.
"I don't want it to be awkward either, it's just... I'm not very good at speaking to people I just met. I feel like I know you, but it's still awkward, you know?"
"Then let's listen to some music. That always helps." He smiles and I almost fall in a trance by just looking at him, but I have to keep my eyes on the road. I nod and give him my phone.
