Chapter 17
"You ready?"
"Just a minute." I say as I pull a shirt over my head. I'm not exactly shy changing in front of Luke. I mean, it's not like he hasn't seen it before. After breakfast, we all went to our rooms to get ready fro the day. Luke helped me move my stuff into his - I mean, our - room and Harry helped Louis with his stuff. I kinda feel bad for Ashton. Louis just left him, but if he knew what really happened between Harry and Louis, and Luke and I, he would understand. At least he'll get a new roomie for the trip. Speaking of which, I actually think that Niall's sister, Xenia, arrived a couple of minutes ago. I can't wait to get another girl on this trip, it'll be so much fun!
"Done?" Luke asks impatiently looking at his invisible watch on his wrist. I roll my eyes and hit him on the arm as I walk past him out of the door.
"Oi!"
"Come on Luke, we don't want to be the last." I tell him laughing. I hear the door slam close and I'm suddenly being lifted by my waist.
"We don't want to be the last." He mocks me in a high pitched tone.
"I do not sound like that!" I gape at him, smacking his bum as it's right in front of my face. Luke just smacks my bum in return and I groan, not even up for the fight.
"Why are you so quiet all of the sudden?" He chuckles.
"Meh... I don't know."
"You okay?"
"Meh..." I tell him again. He suddenly stops and puts me down looking me in the eyes with a serious expression on his face.
"What?" I ask confused, feeling a bit grumpy.
"Okay, that answered my question." He pulls me back towards our room by the arm, leaving me confused. He unlocks the door and as it opens he orders me to sit on the bed. I do as I'm told, not wanting to start a fight.
"I texted Ash that we would be down in fifteen minutes." He tells me as he hands me a glass of water and my oh so lovely friend. The pills. I groan, considering just throwing them at him and making a run for it, but I know he would catch me before I even get to the door.
"Why fifteen?" I ask and shallow my pill, washing it down with the water.
"I think we've to have a small talk before joining the rest." He sits next to me and starts fiddling with his fingers.
"Why? What's up?"
"About yesterday." Shit.
"What about it?" I ask kind of nervous.
"Did it mean anything?"
"Of course it meant something Luke. You're my best friend." I tell him calmly.
"You just don't get it, do you?" He snorts.
"What do you mean?"
"Wow. You really are that oblivious, huh?" He stands up and starts pacing around the room, pulling his hair slightly in frustration.
"Just tell me already!" I yell finally getting enough of this.
"I like you, okay?" He yells back. The words makes me stop my movements and I end up just staring at him.
"What?" I whisper.
"I fucking like you! Get it? Last night meant everything to me, but I guess it was just a friendly favour for you, wasn't it?" He keeps yelling. He screams and storms out of the door. I do the only thing that feels right, right now, and that's to follow him.
