"Hey, what magics do you guys use?" I asked Kast and Kinozu.

After heading through the portal from the school, we ended up in a jungle. We walked across a clear path engraved into this labyrinth of trees.

"There he goes again." Raiden responded, sounding annoyed.

"Aw, leave him be. It's a good thing he is always learning more magic. It could help us all out in missions!" Mitsu continued.

"Well, I use illusionary magics, while Kinozu uses Spatiomancy." Kast answered. Kast is a darker skinned girl with long black hair that is slicked back to her neck as well as two small black eyes. She has a cute button like nose and petite lips.

Kinozu has spiky black hair with squinted eyes. His skin was milky white and his lips are a light pink tone.

"Illusions? As well as a Spatiomancer? Awesome!" I said excitedly.

"Why?" Kinozu asked.

I pulled aside Kinozu and asked him about tips for when it comes to Spatiomancy. I could hear my teammates laugh as I did.

"Oh, so that's what this is about. Well, here's what I can tell you: Spatiomancy is a very draining sub-magic. This is because you are altering the very world and space around you. To do so requires vast amounts of magic."

"Don't worry, I have plenty of magic" I said as I winked.

"What can you do so far with your Spatiomancy?"

"Well... I can dematerialize and rematerialize over varying distances." I responded.

"Hmm, well here's something basic, instead of materializing immediately, you can stay in a dematerialized form, though it would be a little more draining. Or, instead of staying in the dematerialized form, another simple enough trick would be to rapidly materialize and dematerialize over short distances. Once you expand your range of distances, you can open up portals  from one location to another."

"How would you use Spatiomancy in combat?" I asked.

"It's more of a defensive  and strategic maneuver. Not so much for fighting. Once you are really really good, you can make your own little realm and use it to trap people in or just a place to teleport to if you need to escape."

"Interesting. Thank you for your help!"

"You owe me one." He teased.

I soon after pulled Kast aside.

"So....Illusion magic, huh?" I asked.

"Yep."

"Care to demonstrate?"

As we walked, Kast closed her eyes and suddenly, two clones appeared from her.

"Whoa...! There are three of you!" I said. I touched one of her clones, but instead my hand phased through it.

"Mhm. Illusion magic is all about messing with the other person's mind and senses. For this cloning spell though, you just need to imagine splitting yourself up as well as you magic. But for this spell..." she cut off her sentence.

Suddenly, Kast faded away. I turned around to see my other teammates were gone too. I began to panic a little. I wandered around looking for them but out of nowhere, the trees began to come to life and attack me. Then, it all just stopped...

I looked next to me to see Kast; her clones were gone. I could see the others behind us as well.

"Sorry for putting you in that, but it wouldn't have worked if I had told you I'd be putting you in there."
