Elsa and I were in the library, talking quietly so we wouldn't disturb the others. It was just before dinnertime, and I was trying to read this cool book I found about dark wizards.

"Jamie! Listen to me!" Elsa whined.

"Elsa! For the last time! I don't care about Disney!" I huffed.

"Disney? What's Disney?" Draco asked, appearing behind us.

"You don't know what Disney is?" Elsa gave him a look of disbelief.

"No, I'm a pure-blood, remember?" Draco tried to look proud, but Elsa and I could see him shifting on his feet uncomfortably.

"Disney is the most magical thing ever!" Elsa began, but then Draco raised an eyebrow and I rolled my eyes.

"Elsa, we're wizards. It can't be the most magical thing ever," I retorted, not looking up from my book.

"Oh, hush. Take a seat, Draco, you have to learn the teachings of Disney." Elsa pulled out a chair and Draco reluctantly sat in it. As Elsa began chattering away about Disney, I heard a small cough.

"Uh, Jamie?" I turned and saw Neville.

"Do you--wait, no, would you--wait," Neville stuttered.

"What is it?" I asked, a little narked that I couldn't just read in peace, but I wanted to be polite.

"Can you come with me for a sec?" he asked, his face red. I turned and I saw Draco and Elsa completely absorbed in their conversation about Disney.

"Yeah, sure. It seems like they're preoccupied right now anyway," I shrugged, and followed Neville out of the library and into the hallway.

"So, I, uh, was wondering if..." he mumbled something I couldn't make out.

"What?" I asked.

"Do you want to go to the ball with me?" he asked a bit louder, looking down at his feet.

I scanned him for a second, making sure he actually said what he said, and then shrugged.

"Yeah, sure."

"Really?" Neville's face brightened.

"Don't make me regret it," I warned.

"I won't! So, uh--" He then began trying to act cool. "Wear something pretty...?"

"I probably won't," I replied as I turned around to go back to the library to get my stuff.

"What? Oh, uh, okay! Yeah! That's okay! I'm fine with whatever you wear! I'll get you at seven on the night of the Ball?" Neville asked.

"Okay, sure," I replied, shrugging.

"Cool!" Neville smiled, and he scurried away. I turned to watch him go, a fond smile on my face.

When I went to retrieve my things, I noticed Draco and Elsa were gone, probably off to dinner. I grabbed my bag and that book and ran off to the Great Hall.

Elsa and I were walking to the Great Hall for dinner when Draco stopped us.

"Elsa! I found a book about Walt Disney in the library. It turns out he actually has magical roots!" he said excitedly, and I almost laughed out loud. He couldn't be serious! Draco Malfoy... and Disney?

Elsa gasped. "No way! What's the title of the book?!"

"I forgot, but I can check it out later," he replied. Then he noticed me. "Oh, hey Phil! Congratulations on you and Dan, by the way."

"Oh, uh, thanks," I said, taken-aback. We all began walking towards the Great Hall together, and I didn't want to stop the conversation, so I asked, "So who are you guys going to the Ball with?"

"Pansy Parkinson," Draco replied, slight distaste in his voice.

"Harry," Elsa responded.

"Wait," Draco stopped in the hallway along with Elsa, so I did too. "You're going with Harry Potter?"

"Yeah, why?" Elsa asked.

"Because he's Harry Potter! Have you not heard me rant about him all the time?" Draco raised an eyebrow. I noticed that Elsa began brushing a strand of hair that was on her shoulder, something she did only when she was nervous.

"Well, yeah, but Harry's a nice guy and he's the only one who asked me; plus it's not like it's a serious relationship, it's only a ball," she said.

Draco rolled his eyes. "Only a ball date? This is the first ball in our lives, you can't have just gone out with Harry without having any sort of affection towards him!"

"Draco, why does it matter?" Elsa asked, and I could tell she was trying not to raise her voice.

Before Draco could say anything, I cut him off.

"Draco, Harry and Elsa are only friends. Plus, if ball dates automatically mean you're in love with the person you're going with then does that mean you and Pansy are dating? No, it doesn't. Elsa and Harry only friends."

Draco's gaze flickered from Elsa and I before he just muttered, "Whatever," and stormed off.

"It's okay, Elsa." I wrapped my arm around Elsa once I saw how shocked she looked. "Jamie and Dan can talk to him and calm him down. Plus, it's not his fault he's going with a pug-face and the only thing that entertains her is his hair and a dog biscuit."

"Phil!" Elsa laughed a little, and then all of a sudden started nudging me.

"Look who's coming our way."

I turned and saw none other than Dan.

"Hey, Phil." He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and Elsa squealed.

"I'm gonna leave you two alone now. Keep it PG!" She grinned before running off.

I blushed as Dan shouted, "No promises!"
