RECAP:
I make my way over to the bed and try to sleep. It is going to be a long night.
Place: Styx Recruiting Camp (SRC),
Central Sierra Nevada of California, USA
Time: October 2nd, 2011---- 4:00 am
Andria’s POV
I rub my eyes to wake myself up. I look over to the simple black and white clock on one white wall of the room; exactly 4 o’clock. That’s one of the good things about having a photographic memory--- you get a mental alarm clock as a bonus. Which can come is VERY handy at times.
I get myself off the bed and make my way to the washroom in the hall. Turns out--- they had all four of us share the same washroom. I better get there before any of the guys wake up. As a girl—I need my share of the time in the washroom. And it’s not like guys have to anything time consuming to do in the washroom anyways.
I turn the knob of the door, but it doesn’t turn all the way. It’s locked. Just great. I wonder who got up before me. Couldn’t be Xavier, DEFINITELY not Nick...then...oh....of course! Zak! He is used to waking up early since he worked at the green house early in the morning. I hear the shower turn off. Good. He is almost done.
I decide to wait outside and do something about my bed head. Wouldn’t want to scare the hell out of Zak early in the morning, now would we? Just as I tie my hair in a neat-ish bun and rub my eyes out of sleep... he decides to come out.
“Hey, Zak!” I chirp. This somehow startles him. So much for the bed head fright. If I knew I was going to scare him either way- I wouldn’t have bothered to do the bun. Sheesh!
“Why are YOU here?” he asks.
“Umm.... I happen to have to take a shower as well. And we happen to have to share the same bathroom.” I answer.
He looks confused for a second but then he remembers that we are not in Zion anymore. “Oh. Right. Of course.” He moves out of the way to let me through.
“Good morning, by the way.” I say to him as I make my way around him.
He smiles back at me. “Good morning, captain.” I cringe at the last word. Do I really deserve the title?
Suddenly I feel pushed aside. “What the----?” Before I can finish my sentence, I see Xavier push by to get to the washroom. He turns around as he gets through the door.
Just as he is about to close the door in my face, he stops, as if he changed his mind. He opens it up a crack to look at the two of us. He gives us accusing glances and he looks very annoyed. I get why he is mad at me, but why is he giving that look to Zak? I exchange glances with Zak. He looks just as confused as me- if not more.
“In case you guys are done fooling around...let me remind you that we have a mission to get to and a person to save. It would be nice if the two of you took things seriously once in a while. You can continue this when we come back.” He says in a harsh tone and closes the door on us.
I feel like I have been slapped on the face. I feel hurt on so many levels, it is quite painful. Zak looks at my face and puts a hand on my shoulder. “It is okay. He is just a little pissed off about yesterday. He doesn’t know what he is saying. And you know how his anger is right? He knows very well that you are not treating this mission like it is joke. He just isn’t thinking right now. Don’t worry. He’ll come around.” I look up at Zak gratefully. I certainly hope so, Zak.
At the sound of the shower starting I walk back to my room. I can use the time to think over the strategy I have planned.

Xavier’s POV
We all stand in the private room in which we had dinner last night. We just finished breakfast in the same room. The breakfast consisted of pancakes, pastries, waffles, and fruit. We all stand facing Xana waiting for her to tell us what to do next.
Xana looks over us as if making sure that we made it through the night safely. After looking satisfied with what she sees, she decided to give us further instructions. “Alright then, how about we make our way to the Tele-tubes?” She leads us down the hall we just came from. However, instead of turning right at the end of the hallway, leading to our bedrooms from last night, she turns right and leads us through a pair of double doors.
The room’s size is similar to the bedrooms, except instead of a bed, there are two double sized Tele-tubes. She gestures towards the Tele-tubes, telling us to go inside. Zak and Nick make their way to the Tele-tube closest to us... a little too quickly. I watch Andria make her way to the other one and I hesitantly follow her.
As I enter the Tele-tube with her, she gives me a hesitant glance. She almost looks scared. I guess I was a little too rude to her this morning. I almost apologize but I stop myself just in time. She has something that should be mine. And until I have it, I refuse to acknowledge her as a friend.
“Um... hey.” Andria says while taking her place in the tube. I ignore her. “I said...hi!” she repeats impatiently. I look at her to keep her from yelling louder. I give her a hard glare. She looks away. “You don’t have to be so mean. Whatever happened wasn’t my fault.”
“Then who’s was it? You tell me?” I ask. This girl is making me lose my temper. The last thing I want is to burn down this Tele-tube.
“Umm...whoever picks the team roles? The Elders?!” she asks.
“Yeah, well...you could always give up the role and give it to me. Right?” I yelled.
“It doesn’t work that way, Xavier. If I could, I would. But this is my DESTINY. I can’t give you my destiny!!” she yells back.
“You could, if you want to!!” I yell back.
I hear Xana clear her throat. I guess in between all our yelling they might have been listening to us. “Umm... okay then. I am sorry for the delay in the Tele-tubes. They are a little old which is why they are so slow. They should work in the next few seconds. Good luck.”
And with that...everything blacks out.
