RECAP:

"Why don't you make your way to your dorms and get a big dinner and a good night's sleep? They may be last ones you get in a while." She dismisses us.

Date: The same day.

Place: Same place.

Andria's POV

After Raven dismissed us we decided we needed to talk. We piled into Zak's room---- because it was the neatest.

"I think we can all agree that the Raven lady isn't trustworthy. Right?" I ask as I make my way to the bed. The others follow.

"Hell yeah. I was thinking we should've jumped her right there. But I thought you wouldn't like the thought of killing our mentor so I didn't follow through." Nick agreed.

I chuckle. "Thank you Nick for considering my feelings so much."

"I don't know why we didn't do it, though. Why do we need her?" Xavier asks.

I frown at him. Is he serious? "Ummm.....maybe because we can't go on the mission without her? Plus, she is more experienced than us. I am sure she can help us." He doesn't seem to agree with me but he doesn't say anything back so I keep talking. "Anyway, I was just going to say that we have to keep an eye on her at all times, ESPECIALLY when we get to the camp."

They all nod in response. "How are we going to go back home anyway?" Nick asks. I am guessing he means Earth by "home".

"We will be teleported. Weren't you paying attention in class? We learned this in Mission Basics." I reply.

Nick gives me a guilty look. "Oh...yeah. Somehow I can't seem to stay awake in that class." He replies matter-of-factly. I roll my eyes at him. When will he ever change?

"Okay so let's head over to the cafeteria." Xavier says as he leads us out the door.

I hesitate at first and then I follow the others. Something is still on my mind.

"What's wrong?" Zak asks me on our way to the cafeteria.

"Nothing." I lie.

"Don't lie to me." He says. How can he tell? He is probably the only person I know that can tell that I am lying to him so easily. And it doesn't even make sense because his mind power isn't Mind Reading. Weird.

"Umm....it's just that I was wondering how we are undertrained for this assignment. Our survival chances are very slim." I give in. He nods ad if he understands.

"Don't worry about it. What we don't have in skills, we make up for in teamwork." He answers.

I nod. "You're right." I tell him.

There is still one more thing I am worried about. But I didn't find the need to tell Zak the WHOLE truth.
