Priscillia's pov

***************

Who was standing behind the tree? I just saw a girl's foot beside those enormous roots. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, waking Ron in the process. "It is already morning right, mother?"

"Stop calling me mother or I'll hit you with my boots! Anyway, who was that girl behind the tree?" I pointed at the roots.

"Let me check it out."

When he inched closer to the tree, I could hear someone screaming. Ron gasped when something hit him on the head. "Ron! Who did that? Show yourselves!" A girl stepped out from behind the tree. She had dark curls and big green eyes. Her pink cheeks glowed a little. "Why are you sleeping near my tree?"

Ron groaned and tried to stand. "Who are-" The girl quickly silenced him by putting a hand over his mouth. "You be quiet. So, tell me. What are you doing here?"

"We were issued a quest by Helen, mistress of witches. Her potion was stolen by King Randy."

The girl's eyes lit up. "Aunty Helen? Issued the quest to the both of you? Can I come too?"

Ron shook his head. "Mmm catn" The girl frowned. "What did he just said?" I shtugged. "If you want to know, then take your hands away from his mouth." The girl looked at her hands for a second before drawing it away from his mouth. "You can speak now!"

"Hey girl, you-"

"I have a name!" she snapped. "Its Victoria."

"Okay. Look here Victoria, you can't follow us. Its dangerous."

Victoria laughed. She sat on one of the roots and stared at me. "So, what do the girl say?"

"I said no." Ron said, hands on his hips.

"I am the oracle. I work with the gods. The prophecy that you had received from Helen was from me."

Ron's eyes widen. "T-The oracle? You?"

Victoria nodded. "Inside this tree, was the temple of the twelve gods. I often get my prophecies from there."

"Fine! You may follow us." Ron tapped me on the arm. "Hey, Helen told us there's two people who would follow us on our trip. Is she one of them?"

I shrugged. "I think so." I turned and smiled at Victoria. "Let's go."

Victoria frowned. "What? Now?"

"Yes, now. After we change."

Five minutes later, we were walking along the rocky path. Our shoes made a crunching sound each time a step was made. I really do admire these forests that were in Death Valley. Their trees were much greener than the ones we have in Witch Academy. To me, this place was lonely and beautiful at the same time. I wondered what made people feared Death Valley and why was it called 'Death Valley'.

"Hello? Are you listening to me?"

With a start, I realised that I had been daydreaming. "Uh, what was that?"

Victoria rolled her eyes. "I said, where is our next destination."

"Oh...where is it, Ron?"

Ron licked his lips and took a quick look at the map. "Well, King Randy's lair is at Wolf de Janeiro. So to get there, we have to cross the rainbow troll bridge, Witch Market, The Dark Mirrors, Zeus's Temple and finally the Forest of Grinstea. These places are the oldest of all. Ouite dangerous. We have to be careful there."

"I hate crossing the rainbow troll bridge. We have to solve three questions that the troll give us." Victoria said, rolling her eyes.

"Well, in order to-"

"To get the potion back. Yes, I know Ron."

I stared at the icy mountains. The ice there would never melt unless the whole city is destroyed. I could feel a gentle breeze, tugging at my soft little curls around my ears. A memory appeared in my mind. An image of a lady with blue eyes, pointed nose, cherry-red lips and rosy cheeks. She seemed to be smiling at me. Who was that? I gasped and stared at the woman with shock. She looks exactly like me. With those sky blue eyes, red lips and rosy cheeks. Who is she? I am one hundred percent sure that was not Kristin.

Kristin had blonde hair while the lady had dark hair, like me. Kristin had brown eyes, a heart shaped face and wide lips. So who was that lady?

"You are daydreaming again! Seriously, you need to stop this daydreaming thing immediately."

I rolled my eyes and continued walking. Victoria can be quite annoying if she wants.

"The troll bridge!" Ron cried.

Victoria gasped and laid her hand on Ron's shoulder. "I-I am not crossing the bridge!"

"You have to. We must cross the bridge." Ron patted her back. "Let's face some troll challenge now."

"What do you witches want?" The troll was very ugly and...short. When I first looked at him, I thought he was a bulldog. Short and had scarred face. There were ugly scratches on his throat. I realised that one of his eye had gone missing.

"We want to cross your rainbow bridge."

"Heh, answer my questions first, young man."

"Fine! But if we answered them right, you have to let us pass."

The troll laughed. "Of course, but if all of you fail, hmm, I get to eat you!"

"Deal!"

Victoria was hiding behind Ron. She looked scared. "Good luck, Ron." Ron nodded. She kissed him on the cheek.

"First question, what animal looks like a human?"

"Animal that looks like a human? Must be an ape right?" Ron said smiling at the troll. "Bah! Correct. Next, who is the woman that I love?"

"Silly question." I whispered to Victoria. "I told you that troll had gone mad but the answer is Daine." Victoria said

"Daine!" I cried.

"Curse you! Correct. Last question, what is my name?"

"How do you know that the woman he loved is Daine?"

"There. On the shirt. He wrote her name all over her body. Answer for the last question is Hol. On his stomach, 'Hol loves Daine'."

"Its Hol!" I cried, waving my hands.

"Rar! Fine, you may pass." The troll waved his hand and a bridge made from rainbow appeared. It was long and there was no handles on either side of the bridge. "I shouldn't wear shirts that have names on it. Alright, the three of you just sit on the bridge and it will bring you to the other side of the bridge. Got it?"

Ron nodded. "Thanks Hol!"

"Yeah, yeah."

"Come on." We took one last glance at the troll before sitting on the bridge.

"We passed!" Victoria said.

"Yeah. We are one step closer to King Randy's lair." Ron said smiling.
