Priscillia's pov
***************
"Ready?"
I smiled at Ron. "Yeah. Lets go."
Together we entered Death Valley. I remembered walking together with Ron to Death Valley. After I woke up this morning, my thoughts had turned fuzzy. It must be those phobias. I hate ghosts! Funny for a witch to be afraid of ghosts. I thought.
"Woah, a village ahead of us. Lets check it out."
I frowned. "Ron! I-I am so not going in there."
"Why? Scared of ghosts? Boo-yah!"
I snorted and rolled my eyes. "Fine! Lets go."
We entered the cold and lonely village. There was no one in the village. Seriously, there was not even a speck of dust in here! Only those damn wooden houses that are not useful. Ron frowned. "Well, Death Valley and...Death Village? Why does all this places inside Death Valley had the 'Death' word on the front?"
"How should I know?"
"Rude girl." Ron muttered.
Suddenly I saw a slightly opened door in one of those houses. "A door!" I grabbed his arm and began pulling him towards the house. "Whoa! Slow down."
"The house is empty." Ron gave me a cocky smile.
I rolled my eyes and pushed the door open. I saw a bright red bag hanging on one of the nails. I opened it and found a note inside. It read,
You have arrived, Ron. I've been waiting for you for quite some time. You may find my lair in the place called Wolf de Janeiro. A nice name. Don't you think? Meet me there. I will be waiting.
Randy.
"He knew we came for the potion. I have heard of Wolf de Janeiro. It was a place full with wolves. So, what are we waiting for? Lets go!" Ron took my hand and pulled me out of the house. As soon as we got through the door, I heard a voice behind me. "Hey! Care to join us?"
I jumped and turned towards the voice. A lady with a round and plump face walked towards us. "Care to join us for lunch?"
"Who are you?" I glared at her.
"Me? Lady Margaret. The master of spells. So girlie, join us for lunch then."
I shook my head. What did this woman intended to do? She held out her arms. "Please...child."
"Wha-" Before I could say anything else, that Lady Margaret grabbed my arm and yanked me towards her. I screamed and began punching something hard. I could hear screams that were louder than mine. More deeper. It was coming from Lady Margaret. Then I realised that the 'thing' that I had been punching was her face.
Blood began dripping from her nose to her chin. "Let me go!" I screamed. I gave her one last kick in the leg before pushing her to the ground.
"You will pay for this!" she growled.
Ron stepped in front of me. "You won't. Because if you dare to take even the smallest step, I will kill you. Is that understood?"
Margaret growled and vanished. I sighed. My legs were turning to jellies. We quickly exited the house and continued our journey. Throughout our journey, there was nothing except for dried trees. Their leaves were long gone. Ron held onto my arm to keep me from falling. That incident really scared me to death. I thought I am going to die.
Suddenly Ron stopped walking and took a sharp breath. "T-The tree!" I peered over his shoulder and gasped. "Holy mother! That was...incredible! A large tree." "Where did you learn that?"
I frowned. "Learn what?"
"Those swearing words."
"That was not a swearing word. I learnt it from my mum."
He shrugged and ran his fingers along the bark of the tree. "Beautiful! I wonder what was this tree for."
The tree's leaves were a rainbow colour and the tree trunk glowed golden in colour. The roots were growing on the surface of the ground. Large and huge roots. Ron sat on one of those roots and sat his backpack on the ground. I held up my skirts and crossed one of the roots to join him. "You should not wear those long gowns when you were on a journey to somewhere. It's troublesome."
I scowled at him. I sat on the ground and laid my head on the roots. "Are we camping here for the night?"
Ron nodded. "Yes. But its still early. Lets see if there is a stream nearby. I want a 'cold' bath!"
"A 'cold' bath? You are immature!"
"I am a kid."
"Yeah whatever!" I muttered. When I saw those leaves swaying in yhe wind, it makes my heart happy and excited. We soon found a stream not far away from the tree. Ron prepared to jump into yhe river with his clothes and all. I stopped him just as his right foot left the ground. "Wait! You wouldn't want to have clothes shortage, do you? Take off your clothes!"
"I like it better this way."
"Take it off! Now, or no dinner for you."
"Geez, you sounded like my mother! Always talking about dinner."
I smilled. "Be a good boy and take...off...your...clothes...NOW! But I am not going to see those man parts. Understand?"
"Yes mother. Please face the other direction, mother. You hate seeing those man parts right, mother?" Ron chuckled, pulling off his shirt and handing it to me.
I could feel myself blushing. I took the clothes and faced the other direction while he took off his pants. I caught sight of his well-muscled chest. My blush deepens and I shook my head. Priscillia, wake up! Up! Up! Stop thinking about him.
"Do you want to take my pants or not?"
"Oh..." I realised that I had been dreaming. "Oh sure."
With my eyes closed, I took his pants and stuffed it into his backpack while he took his bath in the river. I laid some fresh clothes beside the river and began to make a fire with two stones. By rubbing them together, it produced a small fire. Enough to roast a chicken. I stuck a piece of chicken leg to the stick and held it above the fire.
At the corner of my eye, I could see Ron slipping on his shirt. "Made some dinner already?"
I nodded. "You may eat this. Now it's my turm to bath."
I took my sleeping gown and towel with me to the river. After I completed my bath and had slipped on my dressing gown, Ron told me to at least eat something. He handed me the stick with the leftover chicken. "Thank you." I muttered.
"So." he said, leaning against the root. "I think our next stop will be at the Garden of Life. There was a map in that red beg that showed us exactly where to go."
I frowned, pulling my boots off my feet. "Garden of Life?"
"Yeah, its where everything comes alive."
I yawned and laid my head on the root. He raised an eyebrow at me. "What?" I said.
"No. Nothing. I think I should be getting some sleep."
I could feel his shoulder brushing against mine as he turned to the right. A blush was creeping up my cheeks but I forced it down. After a few minutes, I could feel something wrapping around my waist. It was Ron's hand. I gulped and tried to sleep but it was pointless. "Can't sleep?"
When I nodded, he instantly flipped me over and wrapped his arms firmly around me. "You might need the warmth. It's cold here."
I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder. Thank you again Ronaldo.
