-Wedding day-
I stared at myself in the mirror it was weird to think that Rian was getting married, maybe because just a year ago I hoped one day it would be us getting married but those thoughts were long gone. Instead I was standing here in a suit preparing to stand beside him as his best wo-MAN.
“This all feels so surreal,” Rian said walking into the room unannounced.
“What if I had been changing!” I scolded walking over to adjust his tie. “You looked very handsome.”
“You look beautiful in that suit as well,” Rian said looking me up and down. “I have no idea how I would have done this without you, honestly Av you are my best friend and I can’t thank you enough for all that you do for me.” Rian said I shook my head and stared at him.
“You would have been just fine without me, I probably just messed things up more for you,” I replied feeling a sharp pain stab me in the heart.
“Who would have thought that our timing would have been so off,” Rian trailed off into a thought. “I still love you Avery.”
“Well stop it this instant. Because you are getting married to a beautiful girl and together you have a beautiful baby and your life together will be amazing,” I raised my voice at him.
“But I lost you,” he whispered I lifted his chin so he was staring into my eyes.
“Rian you didn’t lose me, I’m right here aren’t I?” I asked.
“Yes but…” Rian continued.
“But nothing, now come on let’s go get you married,” I said grabbing his hand and dragging him down the aisle where all the boys from All Time Low were already standing.
When Alicia walked down the aisle Rian’s face lit up, I didn’t know what he was thinking but I could only imagine that it was something like that’s the love of my life my future wife and it brought a tear to my eye. Not because I wanted him to be thinking those things about me but because my best friend was getting a fairytale ending and I couldn’t be happier for him. The I do’s were sweet and simple and then we all gathered at the dance to act like drunken idiots.
“Damn I didn’t know it was possible for someone to look better then me in a suit,” Jack whispered in my ear.
“It took a lot of effort but damn was it worth it,” I teased pulling him close to me.
“But it would look so much better on my bedroom floor,” he whispered.
“All in good time Jacko, all in good time,” I mused wrapping my arms around his neck so we were swaying back and forth. I watch as Rian tapped him on the shoulder to cut in and then it was like the world around me disappeared accept for us.
“I asked you time and time again to stop me from going through with this but you never did why was that?” Rian questioned as we danced.
“Because I know this is going to be what’s best for you...Alicia is the person for you,” I said smiling at him.
“I love you, and I’m sorry for dragging you into my mess I wish I could have been better to you.” Rian said hugging me tightly.
“I didn’t mind being dragged into this, I’m your best friend it’s what I do,” I shrugged.
“Are you happy with Jack?” Rian asked staring at me intently.
“Extremely.” I replied looking over to see Jack trying to start a conga line but failing so instead he walked towards us.
“If he ever hurts you I will kick his ass!” Rian declared.
“Like you could take me,” Jack laughed switching places with Rian.
“Take good care of her Jack,” Rian said looking at both of us.
“I will,” Jack said smiling down at me as Rian walked away. “I hope this is us one day.” Jack said. I smashed my lips against his thinking the exact same thing. I wanted this...the fairy tale no matter how many bumps in the road there were it would be worth it because I loved him. I loved Jack.
“It will be,” I smirked.
“Good because I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
