Oh! I don't know why I didn't think of this before!" Vegeta turned his head slightly.
"What?" he said quickly. Goku smiled.
"Just follow me," he said, and he lead Vegeta out of the house. They flew over the forest for a few miles until Goku stopped over a small clearing. There was a house that was half destroyed, as if something gigantic had stepped on it. The other half was still in tact, however. Goku stared at it, then lowered down onto the ground.
"What is this place?" asked Vegeta. Goku smiled sadly, stepping over a broken wall into the destroyed half of the house.
"This is where I lived as a child..." he replied, picking up a broken picture frame. "Before my granfather died." Vegeta blinked, walking over and looking at the picture. The picture was of an ederly man holding a small boy with a tail. "He's the man I named my son Gohan after."
"What happened to him?" Vegeta asked. Goku took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
"I killed him..." he said. Vegeta looked at him quickly, brow furrowed.
"... You killed him?" he said, making sure he heard him right.
"Yes, but I didn't know I did until many years later, when you transformed into the giant ape," Goku explained. "I don't know why no one told me... but I had transformed into the ape when I was a child and crushed my grandfather to death."
"I'm very sorry," said Vegeta, looking back at the picture.
"It's alright," said Goku. "Everything happens for a reason."
"Look at you," said Vegeta with a laugh, trying to change the subject. "You're so little and... fat." Goku glared at him.
"I was not fat!" he exclaimed, snatching the picture from him. "I was... plump..." Vegeta laughed, looking around the house.
"I got to hold you once, before you were sent to Earth," he said, examining a broken vase.
"You did?" asked Goku, intrigued.
"Yes," said Vegeta. "Your father, Bardock had brought you over. He introduced you as his son, Kakarot, and said you would be leaving the next day. This was after I chose the planet you would go to, so I already knew you existed, I just had never seen you. My father and Bardock made me watch you as they went into the other room. So there I was, holding you as if you were a gigantic parasite. I hated you from the moment I saw you, but at the same time, I could see a fire in your eyes; I knew that you would be an excellent fighter. You nearly scratched my eyes out, though."
"Why did you hate me even then?" Goku asked.
"I guess... it was because you got to leave..." said Vegeta. "I didn't understand why I wasn't sent to destroy a planet while I was young. I guess I was jealous of you, just as I am now." Vegeta laughed. "But, you were still a fat baby." Goku pursed his lips.
"You're lying," he said, but Vegeta shook his head, laughing still.
"No, I'm not," he said. "I felt like I was holding a beach ball." Goku glared at him, but smiled and laughed as well.
"I bet you secretly thought I was cute," he said, walking close to Vegeta, who smirked.
"I might've," he said. "But I still hated you." Goku nuzzled his neck gently.
"Yes, but you don't hate me anymore, do you?" he said playfully. Vegeta smiled.
"Oh, of course I do, Kakarot..." he said softly. "I hate you so much, I'm willing to have sex with you." Goku laughed gently, but suddenly choked as Vegeta grabbed onto his collar forcefully. "I don't want to wait any longer." He growled. Goku laughed nervously.
