I looked at the front of the classroom as the bell rang and a woman who I was assuming is the teacher walked in and shut the door behind herself. She looked at the class and smiled as it fell silent.

"Good morning class. I'm Mrs. Brown." She introduced herself.

"Hello Mrs. Brown." The class said in unison.

"This isn't a therapy circle; don't do that." She said as she burst into laughter.

The class laughed alongside her and as we all calmed down she started telling us a few things about herself.

"Alright now you kids mingle and get to know each other." She said smiling. I sat quietly in my seat, not wanting to be bothered as I reviewed information I had gathered throughout my day. I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"You alright man?" A kid with curly black hair asked. I looked over at him.

"Yeah I'm alright." I said calmly.

"Good. Well I'm Kevin. And no Homo. But I feel like we've met before." He said as he stared at me. I brought my voice to a low whisper.

"We probably have." I paused "Show me your eyes."

He blinked and opened his eyes to show the white half of yin and yang. My eyes widened in shock as I realized that my other set of eyes was the black half. He blinked and they went away.

"So you probably know what the government and the hunters are pulling too?" I assumed.

He gave me a smirk and a small nod.

"I don't wanna let this happen dude." He said.

"Join the rebels." I offered.

"I'll think about it." He said smiling.

"OH one more thing." I said as my face turned serious. He raised an eyebrow.

"Betray us. And I'll kill you." I smirked as his face contorted in fear.

"Got it."

I nodded as the bell rang for lunch. Kevin walked alongside me as we moved to the giant lunchroom.

"So do your parents know that you have special eyes?" I asked him.

"No. How about you?"

"Yeah. They kicked me out the house after I told them though. It doesn't help that I have two different sets either."

"Well ain't that a-." He was cut off as a tall guy with a mustache shoved us aside.

"Shouldn't you have graduated like four years ago Bigfoot." I taunted.

"What was that?" He grunted.

"I didn't stutter. Maybe you need a hearing aid old man."

"Shut up."

"Nah I'm good."

He growled and glared at me in anger.

"I'll see you around big guy." I started walking passed him and he stuck his leg out in an attempt to trip me. I almost crushed his leg but something told me just to step over it. So I did. I turned to look at Kevin and gave a small grin.

"We're gonna bring out the best in each other." I chuckled.

"Very true." He smiled.

"Well let's go get some food." I chuckled.

He gave me a nod and we walked towards the line.

"How's high school?" I asked casually as we stood in line, hoping for conversation.
