We now sat in the meeting room of the hideout. It was a rather simple room. The plain concrete walls were a stale grey and the floors matched. A few lounge chairs and a projector which pointed at the far wall were the only furniture that occupied the room.
"Alright so intel." I began after clearing my throat. Kevin raised his hand and I pointed to him.
"You first." I said.
He gave a small nod and stood up. I took a seat and listened closely.
"Okay so basically this school is split into different social groups. Like seriously, it's ludicrous. One can see the diversity among these kids. And they love to bully each other. So my thoughts are that while we're here. We've got to become a shield. Help those kids who can't help themselves." He smiled as he tossed his knife up and caught it.
I gave him a few small nods.
"I like it. Luke. You're next."
He stood up and walked to the center.
"These kids are easily fooled. Except for the ones in that program. They seem to be above the rest. I'm not sure how yet. It's as if they're being released from the system. But the thing is that they aren't breaking it, so they don't get the eyes." He finished and I nodded as I wrote this down to review later.
"Hey Vince. You're up." I said.
He jumped up eagerly.
"I did so much hacking today like wow, it was awesome. I found out so many things. But my biggest hack was when I sat in the lunchroom which is right next to the hunter's training room and hacked into their servers. They're going to genetically alter their soldiers. Making them some hybrid wolf monsters. They're starting to make super soldiers just to snuff us out. We gotta act fast." He finished.
"We act Friday night. We'll bust into the main building and destroy the lab space. We have to destroy their research. If they make super soldiers. I don't know what we'll do."
"Okay this is the place." I breathed. The chill air whipped at my skin that was left exposed from a bulletproof vest I was wearing. My gauntlet once again reflected the moonlight. It was upgraded. It now had claws coming off my fingertips and sharp points extending off the elbow. I pulled my hood up to once again shadow my eyes as my bandana covered the lower half of my face. My black cargo pants were tucked into leather combat boots. I activated my eyes. I could see clearly in the darkness now and all of my senses heightened. I activated my fox cloak, one of the many perks of my eyes. It made me invisible.
"Alright team you know the mission. We work in silence. Kill as many soldiers and guards as you can. Hide the bodies and destroy all cameras. Then destroy all research. We have to blow up the lab. Let's move." I said giving a small hand sign and everyone rushed in to complete their orders.
I popped the lock to the door on the roof and opened it up. I crept inside. My footsteps were silent against the cold concrete of the floor. I deactivated my fox cloak and slipped into the shadows. I shut my eyes and used my heightened senses to lead me. I heard a guard walking closer and I slowly opened my eyes. When he was within range I reached out, grabbed him and dragged one of the extended claws across his throat. I chuckled as he gargled on his blood and I covered his mouth until he was silent. I tore his keycard from his waist and left his body in the shadows. I continued to make my way towards the lab. I destroyed every camera along my way.
"Videoboy?" I spoke into my earpiece.
"Yes?" He replied quickly.
"Send out the E.M.P to destroy the cameras." I ordered.
