"AND HIS NAME IS JOHN C-" I smashed the dismiss button on my alarm before it was able to turn into the wild dubstep music it was meant to play.
"That alarm is surprisingly affective." I muttered to myself. I stood up slowly and pressed a button next to my bed which notified the other rebels that it was time to awaken. Friday. This week at school has been a long one. I stood out of bed and stretched with a powerful yawn. I popped my neck and my knuckles before walking to the bathroom. I stared blankly at my reflection.
"Who are you?" I asked calmly.
The creature staring back at me was not my reflection. A jet black fox with glowing white eyes snarled. "Call me Ryu. I'm the spirit of your eyes. A being that lives alongside you in the depths of your mind." I lazily began brushing my teeth.
"So you came with the eyes?" I asked for reassurance. I gained a slight nod from the fox.
"Well that's pretty cool. What about the other guys?" I asked.
"The only other being that has an animal of its own. I your friend Kevin. His is the white Wolf. In fact, at one point in a previous life, you were both the same person. "Nilliax rumbled.
"What?" I asked, confusion etched into my features.
"Relax Kit. It may be confusing now but let me explain." I nodded slightly at his request and listened closely.
"There was one a man by the name of Nilliax. He was a powerful man. A man that you either worshipped, or you feared. He spent years upon years of his life, working to reach the level of ability he was at. Nilliax loved fighting so much, that he would hold open challenges for any and all to come face him. Time after time he won. Time after time his rivals fell before him. Nilliax soon grew bored of those who presented themselves to him and so he ventured out. He traveled far and wide, battling the strongest of beasts. Nilliax continued to grow in strength until he was noticed by the gods. They sent down a being. One they called Ayame. She was a beautiful women sent to Nilliax as deception. She would get close to him and gain his trust before splitting his soul in two. His good and evil would be split but at the same time. Each would have a bit of the other alongside it."
"So like a Yin Yang?" I asked before filling my mouth with mouthwash.
"Precisely. She did this to show that one cannot exist without the other. The beings would be reincarnated over the generations. Cursed to wander the earth. I've been trapped and weakened. Doomed to stay silent until the halves crossed paths again." The beast growled.
"And I'm assuming they have?" I asked calmly after spinning the stinging cleanser into the sink.
"Ah yes. The one who you know as Kevin Jewett." He rumbled.
"I knew something was special about that guy. I felt as if I'd known him my entire life." I muttered.
"I would assume so. You were both the same person. You are him. And he is you. You are One." He spoke wisely.
A small chuckle escaped my lips as I pulled a t-shirt over my head.
"That's deep man."
"Indeed. Grow closer to this kid. Together you will reach a level of strength rivaled by only the gods themselves. However be careful. Women will quickly be the doom for both of you. A liking for the same one can pit you too against one another and split you apart as one did before." He chuckled.
"Sounds good. I've always wanted to change the world. Now I know where to start." I spoke as a small smile adorned my lips.
"There's no way Kev." I frowned slightly as I stared at Kevin. I shortened his name to lessen the confusion between him and Chop Chop.
