Chapter 24
I wasn’t exactly sure how in a span of a few months, my life had completely turned around. Back in June, everything between Ryder and I were okay, the twins and I were better than ever, and even Cole and I were talking a bit more than usual. In August, things had begun to fall apart, Kimberly was a lot more bitchier, Zoe was a lot more touchy about the subject of her sister, and Ryder as much as I wanted to believe that he was acting normal, looking back I did notice a few times were his excuses didn’t make sense.
And if I really thought about it, it all began when Noah arrived in town. It was because of Noah, that Kimberly was a lot more bitchier- whenever he decided not to show interest in her like he had done before, she would grow emotional. She was used to being center of attention; that was just who Kim was. Zoe began to be a lot more protective over her sister due to me not approving of Kimberly’s interest in Noah, and Ryder, well because that night I had been hiding from Noah, I found out Ryder turned out to be a lot more secretive now that I thought about it.
It was because of Noah that everything turned out the way it did. It was because of him that at first Zoe was mad at me, it was because of Noah, that I found Kimberly and Ryder making-out in the middle of a party. It was because of him that I found out about all of it.
A part of me thought that I should be mad at him, but I wasn’t. If it hadn’t been for Noah annoying the crap out of me that night, I wouldn’t have caught Ryder and Kimberly. I would have still been with Ryder and I would have looked like an idiot later on when I’d find out, because sooner or later I would have and it would have hurt a lot more than it had.
Later that night, after Zoe had left to go get ready for the party, I changed out of my work clothes and into a pair of dark skinny jeans, my house booties and the Columbia sweater Auburn had given me a few years back, it was a pull over and a dark grey and even though it was meant for the freezing cold weather, it was comfortable and it kept me warm even when it was barley hitting sixty degrees outside. Leaving my hair to cascade down my shoulders, I grabbed my car keys, bag and phone and headed downstairs.

“Tell me again, what we’re doing?” Noah asked, as I helped him walk down the steps to his staircase.
“We’re going out,” I said.
“You do realize I’m injured, right? I’m not exactly in any shape to go out and party, Fae.”
“You were the one complaining about being bored out of your mind,” I told him before rolling my eyes, “And besides, we’re not going to any party.”
“Well if we’re not going to a party, then where are we going?” he asked.
Sighing, I opened the front door and turned to glare at him. “Will you shut up and just go with the flow?” I asked him as I leaned against the open door looking up at him with a pointed look.
