Chapter 6~

Asriel's P.O.V.

Kronos walked us over to the other arena, as I could practically feel the tension between Harold and Clyde. Hopefully they don't kill each other... I thought, shaking my head a bit. Kronos seemed to have the same thought, as he nervously looked behind him, looking toward Melissa, his brow slightly furrowed. And they say I'm expressionless, I thought, watching Kronos look back at us, as he stared straight ahead, piercing the wall.

As we got ready Kronos absentmindedly informed us of the rules. "You know the rules, no weapons, no severe injuries, stop when time is finished, do not kill each other, and stop when the opponent surrenders. Not in that order exactly." His deep voice reverberated along the walls, despite its low tone, you could still hear it-- which probably helped since he was a ten foot giant.

Waiting until Kronos was finished I gestured toward Melissa's side. "You go to her." I whispered, knowing straight away that Clyde and Harold were going to break at least one of those rules, if not all. He nodded, and slowly walked away. I was not necessarily terrified of Kronos, but I was intimidated by his quiet demeanor and huge form. Of course, I'm quiet myself, but seriously, this guy can stomp towards you and you wouldn't have heard him. He blended into the background so well, it was almost as if he wasn't even there. Sighing, I heard George clap and gesture us towards the arena. I rolled my eyes and readied myself. Hayden seemed to have not a care for the world as she didn't even bother getting into the right position.

This was gonna be boring. I thought-- then an idea struck.

I laughed. "How was the cake HayHay? Wasn't it absolutely delicious? " Hayden seemed to snap up and smirked. "Ohoho... you did not just say that." I smirked back. "Ohhh I just did."

She smiled, crouching low. "You have a death wish don't you?" She said, a twinkle in her eyes.

"Oh wait, is that cake in your hair?"

Hayden jumped lightly from one foot to the other. "I can't wait for my revenge." She said, grinning.

"On the contrary, I think it's better if you walked away now, you might not be able to stand when I'm done with you." I said, seeing how far I can egg her on. She smiled. "And you might split your neck. Just saying."

George called from behind us. "No talking! Just fight!" I looked at George, grinning. "It's alright! It's just a friendly banter, that's al--" I was cut off by a sharp jab in the face.

"It's on." Hayden said, as she waited for my attack.

I held my cheek, and nodded. "Let's not kill each other though." I said, voice somewhat muffled.

"No promises." She said, laughing.

Hayden's P.O.V.

I wasn't going to kill her, but I wasn't going to let her get away with her taunting either. She wishes our fight won't be so much like the guys but honestly I don't see myself killing the one person that understands me a fair amount. Asriel circled around me and I watched as I did some jumping jacks while I waited. It seemed to annoy her because as soon as I hit my fifth one, she lunged for me. I dodged getting a little hit to my side. I laughed a little as the weak thing she threw at me, seeming to strike a nerve because next thing I know I was being tackled. I did not see that coming.

"What's with the dogpile?" I asked as she climbed on top of me, gripping my hands above my head. "Now you're trapped." Was the only thing I got in return.

Confused, I saw her release one of her hands, but kept my hands in that tight hold, and went for my face. I waited till the last moment to turn my head to the side only receiving minor damage. Holding in my wince, at the pain, I turned just in time to dodge her next attack. Flipping us over so I was on top, I got off of her. She jumped up and we were at it again, attacking and dodging.

Asriel's P.O.V.

Yelping, I quickly jumped back. I knew Hayden would never seriously hurt me, I was just joking about the kill each other thing, but I had no doubt she wouldn't try at least--- contrary to her usual nonchalant and leisurely manner. Hayden grinned a bit as she started jumping jacks again. I decided not to throw the first punch first this time, and Hayden, seemingly getting the gist, attacked me around her third jump. I dodged but she she twisted around a kicked my leg from behind.

Tripping, I fell face first, quickly reaching my arms out, my arms somewhat lessening my pain. Groaning, I lay there as Hayden elbowed me in the small of my back.

Hayden's P.O.V.

Obviously, we were taking this a little bit too seriously. Why would we injure someone badly when we have to work with them for the next years. Taking my elbow from the small of Asriel's back. I got up and twisted her around. Offering her my hand, deciding that this would be the perfect time to go back on my own thoughts. And take it to the finish.

She took my offering and I helped her up. Smiling just a little bit, we took a step back, not letting go of each others' hand. She obviously had other plans just like I did. Pulling back our opposites fists, we aimed and was going to let it fly. When a bell interrupted our plans. Holding our fists just for a moment of shock. I realized the five minutes of beating each other with no punishment or interference was up. Shrugging it off, we let our fists fall and walked to our shared room together. Forgetting all about what had happened in the training room.
