Pan closed his eyes and leaned in slowly, showing a little grin that seemed to melt my heart.

I closed my eyes too, my lip quivered. "Peter" I mumbled under my breath, but something made me glance at the sea.

My mouth fell wide open at the sights.

He backed away and opened his eyes confusedly, but didn't let me go of his grip, which I oddly loved.

"What is it?" Pan asked, raising an eyebrow. It wasn't until then that I realized I was holding my breath.

"Look." I mumbled, unable to say anything else. I set my gaze onto the dark see.

So did he. From the dark and wild waters of the ocean, a huge ship emerged out of the blue. It was an enormous frigate equipped with two rows of deadly cannons. I felt like aching when I saw it's hoisted flag: a white skull hidden by two crossed bones. I knew what that meant. Pirates.

"Hook." Pan spat with rage in his voice.

"Who's Hook?" I asked looking at him again.

     He glanced back at me.

"Someone I'm not on the best terms with." he answered and, for the first time since I met him, I noticed concern in his voice. "Come on, we must return to the camp."

We landed on the rock abruptly and he let me go of his hug, but grabbed my wrist.

"Ready?" he asked me. I nodded firmly and, in the wink of an eye, we were back to the camp again.

"Go and rest for a while." Pan said behind me. I was still shocked due to what had happened between us earlier, but I glared at him.

"I'm not tired." I replied childishly.

He shot me an angry look but tried to calm himself down.

"Go and have some fun, then" he suggested. "We'll talk later."

I wanted to ask him what was he up to now, but we weren't in our best moment. Pan called Felix and the blond boy attended him instantly.

     "What is it?" Felix questioned.

Pan turned away and muttered some incomprehensible things to Felix. Felix nodded his head and gathered some Lost Boys. They took their cloaks and put on their hoods.

"What are they doing now?" a familiar voice asked behind me. I turned around and saw Jack looking at Pan with a cloak of hatred in his eyes.

"I guess they're just going to... visit someone." I answered and Jack frowned. He was starting to suspect and he would soon wonder where Pan and I had been and, then, what had happened. And I wasn't ready to tell him the truth. Maybe because I couldn't accept it myself... I desperately needed to change the subject. "Anyway, what were you doing?" I questioned, trying to calm him down. He sighed and forced a smile.

"Wanna join us?" he invited me. I nodded and grinned at him. He led me to some logs near the campfire while I took a last look at Pan. He noticed me glancing at him and shot me a wink of his eye. I turned away, feeling awkward but blushing at the same time. Then, the small group vanished.

"Well, well, see who's back" a voice chuckled behind me.
