ELIZABETH
I thrash around in the restraints and growl. I jerk viciously and scream. I roar and the door to my room opens. Jake walks in to my side. He slides hair out of my face and lightly smiles. I shake my head as he sits down.
"You're not Jacob." I state.
"No, I'm not, but you do know me." The man states, the world slowly bringing me to the truth. My heart stops and I thrash around, eyes, claws, and teeth bared. "Do you remember me now?" He sets his hand on my knee then moves it to grab a syringe and a small vile. He fills the syringe and my heart pounds against my chest. "Maybe you need some help."
"Use your real voice. Same way you target fire balls use that for targeting your real voice."
He brings the syringe back and toward my neck. I fly up and scream. He flies back and the restraints are off. I glance at him before running out of the room. One guard on each side walks in.
"It's the same deal here."
I attack the one closest to me first, without using my voice. The second I use my voice, and his head explodes. I run and open the door. I run down the hallway and to the door that leads to the front desk. I slide a key card through and slide into the room. I grab a box of my things and sneak away into a bathroom. I throw off what I'm wearing and put on my black skinny jeans, a white singlet, and my leather jacket. I slide on my combat boots and put on my belt that holds my weapons. I slide my gun into the holster and grab my wedding ring and slide it onto my finger. I leave everything lay on the floor and run out. I walk to the main doors and push them open.
"Have a nice day." The man working the front desk says. I turn and flip him off before walking through the doors. I run down the stairs and to the road before looking behind me. I turn and run two blocks before calling Jake.
"El? Where the hell are you?"
"About two miles from Billy's. I had to break out of that hell hole again." I slightly grumble.
"Okay, I'm on my way. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, but uh, there's something we should probably be concerned about."
"What do you mean?"
"Guess who crawled out of hell to pay me a visit."

I close my eyes and inhale slowly. I run my fingers through my hair and let the breath out. Jake walks in from outside and looks at me questionably. He walks over and sits beside me lacing our hands together.
"Are you okay?" Jake asks. I take another deep breath and nod.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I reply. He lightly squeezes my hand. "It's just with everything going on, it feels like the walls are constantly caving in."
"You've been having more memory lapses haven't you?" He rubs the pad of his thumb over my knuckles.
"Yep." I sigh.
"How often?" Jake places his free hand on my knee. I shake my head.
"I dunno, every couple of hours to minutes even." I stare at the ground.
"That's not exactly fine Elizabeth." He states. I look up at my husband and squeeze his hand.
"I know but it's different. It's not like how it used to be anymore." I take a deep breath. "But now that- you know who -is back, something tells me that things are about to get worse."
