"I'm the alpha's son, and I demand that you leave this instance!" Astrophel yelled.
Jeremy chuckled wickedly and shook his head. "You aren't even a beta so I wonder what other authority you wield to make us leave." He turned slowly to scan the watching crowd. Everyone had stopped dancing and the music had eventually stopped too. "There's no alpha here... I wonder where the alpha might be in such a night..." He turned to face Astrophel again. "All we ask for is to let your brothers partake in the feast."
"You are not our brothers!" Astrophel took a threatening step forward but Jeremy was undaunted. "You are exiles!"
Jeremy nodded slowly. "There's no denying that but that doesn't mean that we aren't fellow lycans like yourself, let's merry together, share your food, wine and women with you." He ran his eyes over Theresa. "That's not asking for too much, is it?"
Astrophel stepped protectively in front of Theresa, shielding her from Jeremy's view. "You and your kind are not welcome here!" He said, fuming, his hands fisting.
Jeremy's smile slowly faded and rage replaced his former countenance. "Then, we will take with force if you don't oblige our demands." He said through gritted teeth. "And I want..." He pointed at Theresa over his shoulder. "That particular one you are hiding."
"I'll like to see you try!" Astrophel grated and Andrew and two other young lycans, flanked him, ready to fight.
"It's your funeral!" Jeremy hissed and attacked with his men and Astrophel and the others did too. Soon there was growling, snarling, biting and clawing as the feast was thrown into chaos and the others, especially the females scampered to safety, screaming. Theresa was however caught in the middle of it all, for it seemed they had made a circle around her and were fighting with her right in the center. She panicked, glancing from one fighting couple to the other. Elaine stood aloof, very nervous as she also watched them fight but was really trying to reach Darius through their bond telepathy in order to beseech him to return as soon as possible.
The fight was fierce between all eight men and all she could do was watch, even though she wanted to get Theresa out of the midst of the fighting men, there was no way she could have reached past them. Most of the people who had ran away had begun to cluster back to watch the scary fight as the fighting lycans transformed from man to wolf and wolf to man amidst the fight. Lycidas who had sensed that there was trouble at the feast, appeared from the house out of the shadows.
He watched the men angrily and his sight also caught Theresa standing in the center of the fight, looking scared. He transformed into a wolf immediately, darted into their mist, grabbed one of the omegas who was still fighting and rammed him away and the omega almost tumbled into the big fire. Lycidas transformed into human again and grabbed the throats of another two omegas, slammed them against the trunk of a tree and held them there by their throats. This disrupted Astrophel and Jeremy from fighting and they turned towards Lycidas who was still holding the struggling men against the tree.
"Moon's Call." Jeremy said and aggressively tugged down his jacket, glaring at Lycidas while the other wolf, Lycidas had hit, scrambled on its paws, transformed into human and quickly stepped away from the blazing fire. "I can see I won your attention one way or the other."
"What the hell are you doing in my territory?" Lycidas hissed at him over his shoulder.
"We were just passing by." Jeremy replied.
"Doesn't look that way to me, Jeremy!" He grated, glaring at the men he was holding.
"We um..." Jeremy shrugged. "We couldn't just pass a feast by..." He scanned around him, his eyes especially lingering on the females. "We only decided to have some fun, that's all."
